Hi, I have been away from trading actively for 20 years, A couple of years ago I began dabbling in the market within the constraints of a 401k and Fidelity. Time to move.

I have a decent rig now but I would like to see what the software wants/needs to perform at its best. I have been looking at Ninja Trader 8 and Sierra Chart based on reviews and comments. Currently, I have been selling option premium and buying stocks as Fidelity doesn't have the tools I need. I used to trade the S&P back in the the Ol'days but everything is different now.

Software:
Ninja Trader 8 pros, has good reviews, it is fast, can back test trade strategies, works with numerous brokers, has a good list of 3rd party indicators reasonably priced and some automated trading
Cons, no stocks ETF's or options

Sierra Chart does stocks, ETF's, options as well as futures and I think Forex (I haven't looked to close on this subject as this is a project for the future). Same pros as NJ 8.
Cons, appears to be more difficult to learn how to use it. Doesn't appear to have a lot of 3rd party software that I could find on their website.

3rd Party software (indicators)
Does anyone here have experience with Fibozachi or Pure Financial Academy software? I have a strong interest in software that identifies reversals and supply and demand zones.

Hardware:
How many cores and threads can they use/need, how much RAM and do they perform good RAM management. Graphics, what resolution for graphic cards and monitors. How many monitors do you really need?

This seems to be a good start to drill down to the key info I need to make some key decisions. If I missed anything please jump in, I always welcome good advice.

Thanks,
Tunetyme

Software:
Ninja Trader 8 pros, ...............works with numerous brokers, .......

Used to but a few years back Ninjatrader opened their own brokerage and now as a new client you basically have to use that one as the other brokers can't/don't provide Ninjatrader anymore. Make sure you compare their rates and services as you won't be able to change broker, and keep the Ninjatrader platform, if you want to at a later date.
