I use Ninja Trader and am looking for a ready made Pivot Point indicator that can be downloaded that uses the H L and Settlement price from the CME on the CL. I have to manually enter this info and would like to have it automatically populate for the next days trading.

Ninja has a built in Pivots indicator. Use the needed session template in the data series on your chart to get the pivots to calculate correctly.

Yes I understand but it is not correct. The pivots are calculated using the last tick close as opposed to the settlement price. I have to manually put in this info before it populates the pivots correctly. I don't know why it will not calculate from the settlement price.

How big a difference do you see between last tick at close and settlement price? Pivots are a calulation using high, low, open and close. These pivots are not really a exact science in most cases. How you think it is going to affect your trading? Can you give us a real time example?

The difference is average about 8 ticks. I won't debate the science with you...and thank you for your help but maybe someone out there has an answer to the original question...does anyone have an indicator that can be downloaded that would include the settlement price and not the last tick price? If not I will need to find a programmer that can do this. Again thank you skidboot for your help!

Based on your favorite future being Oil, try setting your data series "Trading Hours" to Nymex Energy RTH. Not sure if that will mess up any other indicators you are using but it puts the end of day around 1430 Eastern Time USA.
