I have been using MBT for futures trading the last few weeks, but it seems like since last week the data feed is stalling and dropping ticks all the time. Some times I even have a 4 minute gap in the Time & Sales. Right now (and for the last few days) their Software shows the following alerts:
Futures Clients, please don't trade out of Erroneous positions
Futures: ONLY running on backup. Will advice.
This has been going on for a few days. Can't trade without recent quotes, can't chart with gaps in the data, unless I'm willing to get screwed at execution. Honestly, paying 4.22 per round trip for E-Mini I expect not to have to pay extra for a datafeed, this should be covered by commission.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Same concern, slightly different, about forex trading.
Will the orders and position status directed by the use of NinjaTrader be replicated identically to their MT4 platform ? Can MT4 and Ninja both be opened at the same time for display/use ?
All I can say is they were my first broker, I like to build a relationship with someone, then do business for a long time. I can go into detail about their internal problems that will cost you money, customer support is great, platform is weak, data feeds are good some of the time, DEMO is down all the time, MB says it to show you how to trade with there system not to use to learn how to trade. Great business model isnt it, you pay them commissions and learn to trade the costly way. I was with them for a year and half till, then I tired out a few others and settled in with Ninja.

OHHHHHHHH and you ll like this one, I was needing to get out of a large ES trade on Sunday 6 pm est after the US got downgraded. There DATA couldnt keep up my screens were all black from 6:00 to 6:02 granted my position window was showing huge moves in my position But I had no charts or any other data, I exited the trade in the blind at 6:02ish(lost $2700 in this time period alone because my mind was trying to figure out why in the world I didnt have data. I paid them the amount loss yes I lost this whole account and then still sent funds to them!!!!!!!!!!!! Also Many other issues with those guys,,,,, I ran best move ever, hindsight I would be much wealthier and wiser If I never used them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know all those guys Johnny there head tech he was only says good things about me..People are good, Platform HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and your always the first one to have a problem no one else is having same issues as you, Guess what when I left I have not had any of these technical issues with Tradestation,TOS,Or NINJA/And my current broker. There charts are stupid slow to load when switching from a 3min to 5 min or switching from any time frame to another it honestly takes 15-20seconds or longer at times to switch time frames, u dont know how bad they are till you try someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I wanta go on and on...................RUN.....They dont have tick above 55 as of 4 mths ago because its too costly to improve there system to handle the amount of data it takes to supply tick feeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!I pretty sure they dont have range bars etc...............Im done Best of Luck
Anyone reporting the same for spot forex only using MetaTrader 4 only ? (NinjaTrader, MultiCharts or MBT Desktop Pro are a bonus for my Currensee goal)
(I don't really care about historical data, a few days to load are enough for intraday)
NO im not referring to historical data, If you only trade from one time frame chart and never look at another time frame for your daily trading then this issue wont be a problem for you.

what broker have you found that works best with NinjaTrader? Actually I'm trying to trade ATS with combo NT+MBT and I'm having a loooot of problems to make that works.
offer an opinion that is less than sterling except when asked.
I use MB and am generally happy. Initially that was because I thought they where stellar and that they cared. I remain with MB and generally happy but more because the right frame of mind is necessary to be successful in trading, not because I believe MB to be stellar or because I am convinced they care.
Here is what I would do.
Ask NT technical support if they trade. If they do ask them who they use and why. I mean NT tech support would know what platforms integrate best and have the fewest problems, right. If they do not trade themselves ask them if they know who Brett or Ray use for their live trading.
