Hello
I was wondering if anybody knows of a way to copy all of the horizontal support and resistance lines plus trendlines you can draw on a chart that is big and copy it on to a chart that is small. In other words, I want to have 2 charts of the same instrument with the same support and resistance / trendlines without having to redraw them out twice.
are these levels stored internally or can we see them through looking around in the files in the folders?
thanks
Spencer
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
you can "fix / store" drawobjects in the chart-template or so - maybe a NT7-user can explain it a bit.
its not transfering but storing in a template i think.
or look at NT-forum - NT -Ray posted some videos explaining new NT7-features some time ago - there i saw this.
maybe also in the futures.io (formerly BMT)- Ninja-webinar - you can review it here.
Yes, right click on those lines and there is a option to attach those drawing object with various options. If you attach the drawing object to ticker (without timeframe), it will appear in all charts for the same ticker.

Hi everyone
thanks for responses. yes, that feature works in Ninja 7 to attach line to another chart is ok if you set it before you mark 20 horizontal lines, etc.. does not do much good after the fact since it takes each one at a time and not a group option.
I really do not see why they dont have ( or at least I did not see it) a simple intuitive user friendly feature like Tradestation in which you can just simply "copy" the entire chart and past it. then it does not matter when I add the lines and can always copy and past the chart and then just change the time frame to a lower one.
there is nothing more annoying than having to draw out 30 support resistance lines on 3 different charts for several markets. anyway, enough compaining:-)
thanks for the input. this feature in ninja 7 will help when the rest of my vendors get with ninja 7. until then, some of my charts are on ninja 6.5 and some are on ninja 7. trading doms are on 7.
suppose you have drawn a horizontal line. double click on it and the properties dialog box pops up. in the General tab click on the Attached to dropdown menu and select <symbol name>(All Charts). this would do the trick.
It should be possible through workspace XML file. May be I can write and app which can manipulate the XML file. Just close the workspace, use the app to propagate chart objects across the charts and then re-open. Sounds good?
for me this is also a big lag in NT - because having objects stored in the workspace is a good feature for an existing workspace but not very helpful for working with diff. workspaces - because you cant merge them.
a chart with drawings that i have somewhere i absolutly cant add in an existing workspace - very bad.
so for me there should be a choise for beeing able to "enable / disable" "store drawobjects in the chart-template".
That would be the killer-feature.
charttemplates are .xml , like workspaces too - so it shouldnt be a problem -- may this is an idea for "manipulation on .xml.files" !
but fur shure also the "copy+past" like spencer explains - would be a great great help in my eyes.
