Hi,
Below im giving the steps to calculate commission for stock ( charges are as per indian cash market) :-
Buy Amount = number of shares * price per share when bought
Sell Amount = number of shares * price per share when sold
Total Transaction Amount = Buy Amount + Sell Amount
Brokerage = 0.03 % of ( Total Transaction Amount )
Securities Transaction Tax = 0.02 % of (Total transaction amount)
Service Tax = 12.5% of Brokerage
Net Commission = Brokerage + Securities Transaction Tax + Service Tax
also i am not aware about the usage of tick value , so could u suggest some reading material..
thanks ..
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?

Have a look if this beta suits your needs.
As to tick value it simply is the value of the smallest unit the underlying instrument can move. So in your original example it would be 0.05 of the underlying base currency.

Hi vvhg,
I exit in two parts so was trying to to have only exit1 and exit2 columns in the sheet(it would be easier to read), but as exit3 data is used in many sheets im finding difficulty in modifying the journal.
I am using 4.2 beta stocks version given by you and have added methods and instruments as per my requirement and its working fine , removing exit3 would make it more readable and easy to use for me.
thanks,
naveen

You have to chose always two exits on overview tab.
As a general rule, if you have to unprotect any sheet to change something, you'll probably break something.

Hi vvhg,
I have hidden exit3 strategy columns, so it shouldn't be a problem(have also checked "always two exits option")..

You don't need to hide the columns, that's all done automatically.

It should hide them automatically, are you sure you have macros enabled? I will also check on my side...

Can someone let me know where we stand on NinjaTrader trades importing? A friend was asking and I was unsure.
