Don't know why, although MotiveWave is the best charting tool I have found to date, futures.io does have 'as of yet' a sub-forum for MotiveWave users.
I just purchased a lifetime license of Pro version after extensive deep-dives in to Sierra Chart, Ninjatrader and TOS.
I am looking to exchange MotiveWave tips-and-techniques. My current focus is using MW in the context of Day-Trading equities. I am currently connecting to IQFeed and TD Ameritrade.
Motivewave user here. Currently using oanda to trade forex and TOS for equities. I was thinking of switching to IQfeed for data and executing on TOS through motivewave. I have seen the platform grow and like what they have been doing.
I trade Forex directly through Motive Wave by pulling up the DOM placing orders. For equities, I use MW for charting only, I have the TOS program running as well for order placement. The reason is that TOS data API to MW isn't good for intraday. TOS software works best, for some reason the API going to external programs like MW is snapshot based.
I think that you are referring to real-time equities data. I can see TDA real-time equity in MW. I am currently evaluating TDA vs IQFeed data. I hope to trade equities with TDA through MW. I plan to trade Options directly through TOS especially after viewing the following .
Motivewave pro edition user with tradestation and interactive brokers. Tradestation data works great in motivewave. But IB historical data is a joke for us equities. The funny thing is Italian equities are spot on in motivewave through IB
For the time being, I have put MW aside. When it comes to executing trades in TDA, it’s hard to beat TOS in terms of trade management. Since that is where the rubber meets the road, I decided to suffer with (IMHO) TOS rather than MW charts for now.
If I place an indicator on a chart in motivewave, say stochastic oscillator. How can we make the current indicator value label visible. The default settings hides it behind values 20, 0, and 80. I'd rather just see current values. Any ideas
There are a couple different versions of the stochastic indicator. There should be a checkbox setting to show or not show the 80/20 label. But if not, then in the label color setting you can change the alpha transparency level aka opacity to make whatever label is bothering you to make it completely invisible.
