If it is mechanical, have you tried to automate it and run a back test ?
(i have seen many people with a working method, until you implement the so-called
wining rules, and a back test confirms it is systematically losing money, then it is
simple, just reverse the rules... and gues what ? it also loses money...
not easy to find a mechanical method that works..)
that said : good luck
and you already found your biggest enemy, try to control your enemy
I’m discretionary trader, I haven't hard rules for enters/exits.
My style is a scalping plus day trading, my entries in overbought/oversold zones.
My targets from 12-15 ticks to 30-40 ticks.
I believe my conservative M/M system it the key.
For my daily goal i need to get one move only for 30 ticks per contract.
And yes, i know my enemy, thanks for remainders. ))
A very difficult day for me today.
The trend is clearly not my friend)
Even at the night session, I had problems with Rhythmic, I could not cancel the warrant.
LeeLoo reacted very quickly, thank them for that.
At the opening, after several unsuccessful short attempts, he mistakenly took NQ instead of MNQ.
Confused in my new hotkey settings.
After that i got a few more stops and the rest of the day returned my losses with quick scalps of NQ.
Yes, I broke my rules of trading only micro, but it all ended well with a profit of $ 513.
