Between the spread near closing

My broker closed out a credit spread (SPY 275-270 Put) nearing end of trading because price was between the spread. Their explanation was that they did not want the 275 put to get called, therefore, closed it to protect mine and their interests. Have finished days between the spread multiple times in the past and never had this happen.

Any one else having this type of issue right now?
