Hi friends, can I ask what may seem to be a newbie question? If I have two or more OCO bracket orders for the same instrument on the same account will they interact / interfere with each other? Example ...

Order 1:
Open Buy 1 ES @ 1500
Target Sell 1 ES @ 2000
Stop Sell 1 ES @ 1000

Order 2:
Open Buy 2 ES @ 1750
Target Sell 2 ES @ 2250
Stop Sell 2 ES @ 1000

Could one of the contracts in Order 2 get sold at target if say the ES rose to 2000?

Or would that sell target only apply to Order 1?

Is there any other risk of overlap/interaction that I'm not seeing here?

They should not interfere really assuming you are already in trade 1 and then number 2 hits your targets will fill as you intend but if for some reason the target for the second trade was lower than the target for the first trade then the 2nd target will fill first . TradeStation fills orders first in first out.

If you plan to trade multiple strategies on the same symbol You may want to look into having TradeStation send the trades to a different chart using Global Variables or possibly sending trades to a different broker.

These order could interact dpending how they are placed.
For example, 1500 is lower than 1750 so it could hit.
If both hit, STS at 1000 could hit as well.

If you trade different strategies use different accounts. You could have different accounts within the same broker.
