So sierra charts had this idea of "consolidating" their prices come March 1st. For the likes of me who use AMP + CME only on their advanced package used to be around $36 ($25 for the advanced package and $11 for CME via CQG).
The new price announced on the Jan 21st was $38/month for the advanced package and their now included Denali feed which sounds great until you add the $10.40 for CME on top. So now I am at $48.40/month up from $36. Not too bad I hear you say? Well yesterday they announced new prices again....
-Advanced Package + Denali Data Feed: 46 USD/month (package 11).
I am pretty sure this doesn't include the CME data, so that's another $10.40 on top so now $56.40/month.
Who knows, maybe next month it will be 56 USD/month or maybe some other arbitrary value with no evidence for reasons of the increase.
If I have this wrong, I am more than willing to hear anything to the contrary. In fact I would welcome a correction if means I won't need to be paying this...
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Yes you are correct. First they said the new pack 11, which was instead of 5, would be priced 38 or so.
Now they are saying it will be 46. The reason being that this time they would not cancel the old type packages (3 ,5).
what this has to do with the price increase of the denali packs is not clear to me and they dont care really to explain.
Basicly packs 10 and 11 are just the same as packs 3 and 5 with denali include. At the introduction the(the so called?) discount would have been around 20 dollars but now is just 10 dollars or so.
I agree what will it be next post? SC as software is great. But traders need to be able to settle for the situation and focus on trading. Being forced to anticipate o changes with every post they make is very annoying and really should be considered before going for this software.
What's annoying is that many people are complaining about these changes, yet every post on that forum that even dares to question it is locked and blocked from view by anyone else.
I agree SC is a great piece of software but poor customer relations and price increases is enough to leave a sour taste in anybody's mouth....

I too am now looking at alternatives.
The problem I'm faced with I'm heavily invested in SC with custom tools and having them re-written for another platform. I've got a lifetime license for Multicharts but I've never got on with it.
Packages 3 & 5 do not include a data feed. You would use your broker's data feed with whatever fees they charge.
There is no price increase on these existing packages.
You can also use these packages with their Denali data feed, at $25/mo extra ($20/mo if you also use their order routing).
Packages 10, 11, 12 are new packages that include their Denali data feed, so the total cost is less than 3 & 5 with their Denali data feed.
Packages 10 & 11 include their Denali data feed. Exchange fees are additional.
Package 12 includes their Denali data feed with Market By Order. Exchange fees are additional.
My idea to use SC - besides the software itself of course - was to have a better data feed with a reasonable price (you all know the poor quality of IB real time data).
So, if I'm getting it well, I will need the followig:
"Service Package 10 Standard + Denali Data Feed" for $46 (no discount on this package?) + CME Data for $3.25 (if only just with Level 1) or $10.40 to $31.20 (if I want Market Depth).
It really isn't as affordable as it used to be before, the Denali Data Feed cost and no discount on this packages are weighing on the total price.
I am a infinity futures (transact) user so the confusion is higher. I don't know what will happen after march, SC has interrupted the support to infinity... I have to wait for clearing the situation, meanwhile I'm using SC...
