I am trying to get some data printed on my NT8 chart(s). I have been using the strategy builder to ‘program’ some strategies and to run backtests. I’m pretty sure that I can use the strategy builder also to get some data printed on my charts, but I tried without success. Also I don't understand how to calculate values (like the range high -/- low) and to then use these values.

I would like to learn how to. I tried NT8 forum and I searched in FIO as well.
Is there somebody who can help me out or maybe point out a good instructional link (video or text)?

What I would like to see on the charts at the session is (all RTH) the value of:
Day range HL (high -/- low)
Day range OC (close -/- open)
(also historical)

And I would also like to see for the first bar per date, preferably live until the bar closed:
1st bar range HL (high -/- low)
1st bar range OC (close -/- open)
(also historical)

All this on the left bottom of the chart for instance.

Thanks for your message. I would think of something like this:



Today the FDAX has RTH is not yet closed, therefor no data yet for Day HL en OC on 21st April. Could be live data as well, but if that is slowing down NT, then for me no need. Could show ticks or 'points', for me not important.

In understand that, if I would use 4hr bars here, that the texts are going to overlap or something. For me not a problem. I would use this intraday on a 30 (or less) minute chart.

I hope this example is sufficient.

you have to create an indicator for this job, not a strategy. But these type of informations you want to show are surely not producable by just "clicking" together the parts. To calaculate and draw informations in this style you have to code it.

I might give it a try. I see now that NT has an indicator wizard, that could be a start point. Then with some help, maybe I can get there. Will have to find some time for this. It will safe me some time every day, but not that much. But it worth to learn to program, bit by bit.

In the meanwhile, if anybody has time to program this, I would be greatful
