Hello Traders,

You should know that starting today (June 28th, 2021), the CME and CBOT will eliminate the 3:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Central Time (CT) trading halt on CME Globex which currently exists for certain Equity futures and options contracts.

This means that the session will run all the way through to 4 PM CT session close. This might take some traders by surprise.

Here's the notice: SER

I'm assuming Settlement time will still be 4:15 EST for the Equities RTH?

They have changed it a while ago to 3 pm CT (range 2:59:30 to 3 pm CT)

You are wrong...Settlement for the equites has been at 4:15 EST for many years now. I'm asking if the new rules will effect this.

Please do not answer if you do not know. Thanks.

LOL, because of todays change the CME has changed it some month ago to 4:00 EST

I know that the settlement was at 4:15 pm EST for many years but now (or better some month ago) it is 4 pm EST and also there is a final settlement at 6 pm CT

Correct. Settlement is at 15:00:00 CT based on the 30 seconds ending at that time. Session still ends at 4 PM CT.

Sorry I stand corrected. I found where it changed on September 22, 2020.

Should have looked at your credentials. LOL
