Is it ok to share my channel that's simple, private area to learn how to effectively trade the Treasury futures? I will market the futures.io site with a special area on the channel...no problem. just wanted to follow the rules here and not do anything inappropriate by sharing. Thanks.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
On a side note, maybe this is answered, but I want to know the actual intention of showing your method to strangers on the internet: Will it be for monetary gains later on OR is it really free education only? If it is free education, what is the purpose behind it? Thanks.
Sure. has been used fairly widely to establish groups for different purposes, including trading rooms. While these may be entirely above-board, we have had enough experience with links to know that they also may be avenues for vendors to promote their services and products to the membership, which we do not permit here. Vendors are required to follow a policy of not promoting their wares, and we have to deal with vendors trying to get around this policy for promotional purposes all the time. We have found that links to groups is one way that some have used, so we finally decided to not allow them at all.
From the forum's Terms and Conditions:
-------------------------
Links
We disallow links due to abuse by vendors, using them as a way to pitch to our membership and bypass our site rules. This means that across the board we disallow links, even if the was established for completely innocent purposes. Sorry, you can thank abusive vendors for this.
A good question. A vendor is not actually allowed to be "showing his method" on his/her own initiative at all. This is vendor self-promotion.
Members who want to discuss or recommend (for or against) a vendor can contribute to a vendor review thread in the vendor section. Vendors can respond, in such a review thread, to direct questions posed to them and can, of course, defend themselves if needed. But they cannot volunteer any information about their service or product just on their own. We also do not permit posts by members who are actually vendors in disguise. All vendors are required to identify themselves as such, and to abide by the rules forbidding self-promotion.
There are site sponsors, who have different rules, but they have rules also.
Our intent is to keep this forum a promotion-free zone.

Thank you so much for the informative responses. I apologize for not reading the Terms and Conditions myself, but I knew this community was a helpful one so I thought I'd post!
So anyway...just to answer a few posed questions. I'm not selling any services. I'm just a normal trader trying to figure out the Treasuries....so don't profess to know enough to even offer a service! haha. We are a humble little group of traders learning from one another...just like here! is, like anything else, good resource if used correctly. So just be aware of spammers and scammers.
Good luck in your trading adventures...and thanks again for the assistance.

We're retreading old ground here, but I'd still heavily encourage Futures.io to start their own server. I'm sure that moderation is a key concern there, but keeping permissions locked down and using tools like Dyno bot handles almost all of the spam problems these days. Otherwise people are just going to keep asking because has become such a key part of online trading culture.
TBH The majority of trading rooms I have come across have commercial element behind them. Therefore I understand where the mods are coming from...
You raise an interesting and good idea regarding a futures.io server IMO assuming someone legitimate can be found to moderate the rooms. At the end of the day it is up to Big Mike.
