Had a few more trades I didn't write down. Daily result is a profit of $43.67 after fees of course.

The trade I had yesterday at 8:33am was a gamble. The news came out and i didn't define my risk on that one. I was at the point where I got lazy and tried to avoid a loss at all costs. I was in the trade and was going to hold that loss until it turned into a break even trade even if that meant I would lose big. I still have this idea that I can avoid a loss if I just hold a trade all day. What a dangerous thought! I rode a 110 tick, unrealized loss before the market started to retrace back in my favor. I think my unrealized loss shrank down to 20 ticks at one point. I finally pulled myself back to reality after the market fluctuated a lot and I closed the biggest loss of the day.

I had a couple trades in the MES after 3pm that I didn't write down. Saved the day with those and made about 60 ticks.

Overall a great day with the one bad decision when the news came out in the morning.

Last night I was trading micro gold, micro SP, and micro oil. Tonight I am focused on micro oil MCL.

My strategy has yielded a win rate of around 10%, however I am tightening my stop loss at 2 ticks. This will result in a much lower win rate, I'm guessing probably around 3%. How will I be able to handle 30...50...100 losses in a row, all of which is very possible with a 3% win rate? I'm preparing for +100 losses in a row. Should be interesting and fun! Looking forward to this experiment on myself.

I've been trading micro crude MCL for about a year now. I enjoy learning, studying, and reading about the crude market. The fundamental stories about crude are more interesting to me than stocks/bonds. I like the liquidity, price action and most of all I like that it is a fairly predictable range bound market(which may sound unlikely, but MCL stays in a 150-200 tick range almost every day). The long term price channels are fairly predictable as well(crude has been in a roughly $70-$80 price range for the past three months or so). It also seems like a cool market to trade because everybody trades the Eminis and crude is different.
