Yes, if you don't use CQG, you can use another version. I should have mentioned that. I use Rithmic so it doesn't apply to me.
Thanks for mentioning that.

I wasn't trying to correct you. Hope it didn't come across like that.
Just wanted others to be aware in case they didn't see it.

I minimized the pain using Dashlane's Chrome extension. With a few keystrokes I can copy the password from the browser window. It's a bit annoying, but nowhere near as bad as having to type the password manually every time. (If I had to do that, I'd use a windows macro tool such as AutoHotKey.)

Thank you! I personally use LastPass and it works very well for nearly all websites (with the occasional tweak). Every password is an 16 character random unreadable sort of thing - and unique to each site.

But sadly this won't with the NT login interface and this is now painful with each login - I often need to unload during debugging code.

NT - if you are reading this - logging into nt8 via a website only exposes passwords and given you have not added any MFA capability has added no security value whatsoever. Pls consider implementing an option for an authenticator token for the first login each day and when used allow the password to be saved ...?

Go back to version 8.0.28.0 If you have a brokerage account with Ninja, go to Download and select that version. That's what I did and I have no problems now.
Regardless what their tech team says, the new version is loaded with bugs. It will cost you time, money and frustration.

To add to my terrific night - I took a full Acronis backup and after the issues started try to do a full restore. It failed ... (it was not my best night).

I had not taken a backup of the documents\nt8 folder (read the guidance too late and thought I had a backup covered). I am no sure if I can regress but would like to - if anything to stop these annoying logins.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Can you do a restore on the computer? That folder should come back if you do a full restore.

There is no difference between 27.1 and 28.0 except for the certificate that allows you to connect...
That is a safe upgrade path,,, Previous versions of NT8 before 27.1 require database updates which can be problematic...

No matter what anyone else says here about 8.1.X.X, I work with NT8 every single day with multiple users and it still has "issues"..
They may not have arisen for you yet but they will... My suggestion would be do NOT upgrade until Ninjatrader can go 6 months without a hot fix...
Thus far, they haven't made it 30 days... That doesn't really sound like a place I'd put my risk capital on the line...

Incidentally, I am on 8.0.26.1 because I find the database much more stable and reliable... I solved the certificate problem by just replacing the certificate...

No upgrade of any kind required for me..

Well, we are past the June 23 deadline to upgrade to NinjaTrader version 8.0.28.0

However, I am still running 8.0.27.1 and everything is still working fine with my standard CQG Continuum data feed from NinjaTrader.
How can that be? In early June I replaced the certificate (ca.pem file) as recommended by ATLTrader.

Next I will try version 8.0.26.1 with the replaced certificate.
Thank You, ATLTrader!

26.1 is the last version Ninjatrader supported both 32 and 64-bit versions...

Be sure to put the ca.pem in the \bin and \bin64 directories....

I was at 8.0.27.1 and last night got a "Network connection to Order Routing System is unavailable" error.

I upgraded to 8.0.28.0 and everything works fine now.

Can You kindly guide every one step by step if possible as to how to replace the certificate you are mentioning if possible.so that every one can benefit.

Where to get the new certificate file (ca.pem) and where and how to replace the old certificate.
I did PM as well If you can kindly reply.

In post #216 in this Thread I mentioned the steps to upgrade to ninja8.1.1.7 or 8.0.28.0.

Here is my Feed Back as To any issues.
I have 4 Multi-broker Life licenses on all Machines 3rd party add-ons are working fine. No issues at all.

All data-feed connections to forex accounts like FXCM,Forex.com Working fine no problem whatsoever.

All Data feed connections to futures market work fine without using VPN.
When I turn VPN on the futures market data connections are lost while Forex data feed connections keep working fine without any disturbance.

I am using Wire guard as a VPN tunnel client connection source on my Firewall that has inbuilt VPN this way my network remains safe.

If any one can guide how to resolve the VPN conflict with ninja-trader futures dada feed.
On old versions of Ninja VPN was working well for futures and Forex data connections.

Obliged for Kind guidance.

they do things differently.
