Is there such a thing as 0DTE options for MES futures? Now I have to say that I have never traded or purchased an option ever, so I'm a complete noob.

With that being said, I would like to look into this as a potential hedge strategy and more.

1) Does anyone know what the symbol is for this? either regular options and/or 0DTE.

2) Can someone please tell me how to read a price chart for this? I'm curious what to expect to pay for an option per MES contract.

I'm sure I'll have more questions, but let's start here. Thanks for the help.

They do exist, but they are not heavily traded and appear to be a bit illiquid. I would suggest a more liquid version, such as 1K of the ES.

and K=contract. 1 ES option K is equal to 10 MES option Ks. Here is the math: 1 ES option K equals 100 ES underlying. 100 ES K's x 10 (because MES is 1/10 the value of the ES) = 1000 MES. Only draw back is you cannot stagger your PNL with 1 ES as opposed to 10 MES option contracts.

The ES is more liquid. SPY is even more liquid than the ES, but you lose the tax benefits of futures if you trade the SPY.
