Hello all,

This past weekend, i have spent considerable time trying to go through previous posts regarding how many cores/threads MC is able to take advantage of for optimizations. Which what i like to test is exhaustive optimization (see image below).

https://ibb.co/gFsxBhV

I found one post where MC staff was saying with MC 15 they will be looking to have MC take advantage of higher number of cores/threads. It has been consistently noted that MC does better with fewer actual cores with higher clock speeds than more cores/threads.

So my question is two fold, does MC currently do faster optimization on intel architecture over AMD? and what is current maximum cores/threads MC 15 can support or take advantage of.

This way i can determine if upgrading to server CPUs released lets say in 2022 and above, may be better than let's say intel 13900k, 14900k. and their equal AMD counterparts (like 7950x or 7000 series threadripper pro chips).

If anyone who is running server CPUs and would like to contribute what their experience has been with speed improvements compared to non-server based CPUs like earlier generations of intel i5,7,9 and/or AMD cpus.

Thank you all.
