Hi

Does anyone know the formula behind the Ninja Rising / Falling functions?

Is it something like (for Rising SMA):

if (SMA(Close, 40) > SMA(Close, 40)[1])
Rising = true;
else
Rising = false;

your formula is wrong. the code as highlighted in red represents a data series while the code as highlighted in blue represents a double

change the dataseries to double like (SMA(Close,40)[0]) and you will get what you desire.

You should also remember there is also Neutral, neither Rising or Falling.

What I am trying to do is create similar functions in Multicharts, which is why I wanted the formula.

hi diverdan,

NTs help guide says :

Rising()

Definition
Checks for a rising condition which is true when the current value is greater than the value of 1 bar ago.
