I recently wrote a reply in another thread and it posed the question of how each of us in this forum got into this business and why. Some of us may have explained this in your introductory thread post, but not all. I am curious as to how and why many of you are looking at trading as a way to make a living.

For me, I had closed a retail business and sold a marketing company in 2009. I was able to walk away from both with a few dollars in my pocket, so I was off to my next business venture. I started sim trading in August of 2009 and although trading is not a income provider for me yet I still trade full time. I am looking for 2011 to break the ice and show consistent profits. I enjoy this business more than anything I have ever done and can't see myself ever doing anything else.

I am looking forward to hear how others got into trading and why.
