As I plan to transition from part time to full time trading, I'm looking for a service/website for recording my performance.
Some of you may be aware of myfxbook.com which is able to connect to Metatrader 4 and Oanda, as far as I know, but not to the common trading platforms for futures such as Ninjatrader etc.
Since I trade both spot forex and futures, I wonder whether a similar service for futures traders exists as well.
You can obviously trade futures through MT4 now with some brokers, but as good as MT4 is for charting, I would not want to use it for executing my trades.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I tried to find something like that, but didn't find anything.
An idea, for NinjaTrader, is to write a strategy which will read the NT database (or checking the orders in real-time, all is possible), and push this on a website. I've started something like this, but did not finish it.
Some other futures brokers are supported by Profit.ly.
But for "automatic" filling of your trade log ("broker connect"), you have to send your broker connection credentials !!!
These guys are maybe honest, but who is crazy enough to send his credentials like that ?
If you don't want to trust in Profit.ly's security I believe you can let profit.ly download your trade records, then immediately change your login credentials to something else. This way you can display your past trades but only have to trust the site with your login info for a short time.
