Hello,

Great to find that it's possible to run NT6.5 and NT7 at the same pc.

But how about running 2 NT7 at the same time on a single pc, as I gave up NT6.5 quite a long time ago? Many thanks.

Agreed. With an Virtual Machine this can be done quite easy (left NT chart in native windows 7, right screen is an instance of VirtualBox running with another NinjaTrader version. Btw, I'm using here two NinjaTrader with the same license key):

On Windows I've typically always used VMWare Workstation, but VirtualBox is great. On VMware there is "Unity", where you can just bring forward one app and overlay on your desktop like a native app -- without the entire VM desktop. I assume this is possible with VirtualBox as well.

As far as I know, VirtualBox doesn't offer such an option - though you can share the clipboard and use "network drives" to pass files from the virtual machine to the native machine.

After having used VirtualBox for a long time, on Linux and Windows hosts, I've stopped and moved to VMware.
Too many issues with VirtualBox, most of its updates was breaking something... I've lost 2 VM with Vbox, and had some headaches, nothing with VMware.

Thanks all for your advice. Obviously it's a good workaround!

Check out the "Seamless Windows" feature of VBox, same basic function as Unity with VMWare.
