this will be a discussion on the ATrader platform features and changes. As a techie, I try many platforms as that is my calling. I remain using some, for which I eventually wecome a willing BETA tester.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
for a started trader, and even those more advanced, the platform provides many of the features one would always try to code in NT7 or something else... the platform is under constant development and feedback from their users is always taken into account.. many of the recent improvements come as the result of direct feedback to the developer.. in other words, your voice is heard.
I use atrader for charting mainly, my main charting is MD, and I have NT7(with @gomi excellent tools) and MC(I wish I could have gomi's tools in there ).. but I dont use them for daily charting.. I actually use NT7 for their OMS and MC for automation and testing ideas... with MD being what I write(well, more like try) to write my indi's to do analysis on as my main charting platform... however, atrader allows me to quickly see what I want when I dont feel like customizing much on MD or if I am running pressed for time and I dont feel like creating a new chart for MD for seeing if an idea would work.. anyhow.. as part of collaborating with the developer, the CVD were added... thus far, I like what I see... and it has given me ideas for adding into my automated systems..
I am attaching some pictures showing the CVD studies...
I had some more time, and I wanted to test an idea... so I created a new 5 range chart, with a 20 Period BB, a 34 Period EMA, and then added 34 EMA Averaged Cummulative Delta and just regular Volume Breakdown to my chart... I wanted to see what was happening whenever the average CVD crossed..
this is kind of what I like, not having to mess with much of anything and being able to look quickly into anything you might have questions about...
granted, it wont let you backtest ideas automatically, but you can manually test your theories... (I personally love what CQGIC has with regards to being able to backtest ideas quickly and then change parameters and compare on the fly, but that is another discussion)
I also like atrader a lot. I am using it almost on a daily basis for the context. The default charts are nicely set up and I am sort of lazy...
And, everything I have reported so for had been fixed for the next release.
