If you upgrade from NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.2 to 7.0.1000.4 you need to follow the instructions carefully.
(a) All vendor assemblies that you have installed under 7.0.1000.2 and which used Salamander protector from Remotesoft will not run under 7.0.1000.2. You need to uninstall them prior to the upgrade to NT 7.0.1000.4 and ask your vendor of an up-to-date file.
(b) All other indicators (which are not obfuscated DLLs) will run without problems. This includes all indicators that you can edit via NinjaTrader.
Thanks, however, I am not so certain this is correct. Please PLEASE - Understand I do not mean to berate you! I am frustrated with Ninja.
I have upgraded to the newest version of NT7 and MANY indicators which were downloaded from this forum compatible with NT7 do NOT work with the newest version. You ARE correct in that:

Those appear just fine. However I use (used) two indicators found in this forum which I depended on heavily and they are GONE!
Lately Ninja seems to be changing the platform over and over and it seems they are the only charting that always seems to have issues! And . . . I am a licensed user so it's not like I am looking for a freebie from them.

Also, an oscillator indicator I use downloaded from the NT forum doesn't work! You think they would at least realize this.
I have tested many indicators for NT 7 with NT 7.0.1000.3 and NT 7.0.1000.4 and they all run without problems. I think your installation is corrupt and you should reinstall.
There is virtually no difference between NT 7.0.1000.2 and NT 7.0.1000.4 that does affect indicators. Everything is running as before.
Excluding scripts that are protected by RemoteSoft, any indicator that worked with 7.0.1000.2 will work with 7.0.1000.4. We have not made any changes here. You are saying that your problem is indicators have disappeared? The issue is not compatibility but something else. I *believe* if you have a RemoteSoft protected script on your PC and NinjaTrader R4 tries to load it, you could see unexpected behavior such as a lot of indicators would not appear. You might check your log for any error messages on NinjaTrader start up. Apart from that, I can assign a tech to help you resolve this if you wish. Just send a note to support attention "RayD" and reference this post.
I had the same problem. What you want to do is rename your nt7 folder, install .04 then move a cs file from old nt7 folder to the new nt7 folder one at a time after each move, file, utility, import to trigger compilation process but no need to import anything as long as it doesnt complain you move on to a next cs file then debug any error you see.
