Hello -

I have an ACSIL study that calculates a 0 or 1 value at time t = now that I want to use to color a bar that has already printed.

Although my code assigns a "1" to the relevant array index in my subgraph, I don't see the value update when I'm watching it in an attached spreadsheet.

However, if I make the same assignment to subgraph[sc.updateStartIndex] I do see the value change as expected in the spreadsheet.

Is it not possible to revise a subgraph array at a previous index?

BTW, I have

Code
sc.autoLoop = 0;
if that makes any difference??

Thanks for any advice on this!

Hi All -

I'm the OP, and I sort of figured out this by spending more time with the Sierra ACSIL docs and doing some experimentation.

I'm not sure how to delete a post, but I think it's safe to consider this post closed.

I will note a couple of things for posterity, however:

1) if you are trying to color elements of the main price graph (region 1), your custom study has to be placed in region 1

2) to affect the color of bars, you need to write to the subgraph[].Data[] array of your subgraph, not the subgraph[] element

Maybe that will help someone in the future working on bar coloring via a custom study in ACSIL.
