I've searched the internet and YouTube for educational materials for learning Gann's trading method, but resources are very scarce, limited and usually incomplete. I've even subscribed to a website with Gann learning materials "Wheels In The Sky", but there is very minimum help there and their forum is all but dead. Is there anyone in this forum who has learned Gann's method in detail and can tell me where they have learned it?

Looks like you might have to go this route...

20 Years ago I have read a few books about Gann and I have tried a few things but I must say that I have never been able to master it and it is not because I did not try.

My advice is to stay away from it as it is very complicated and I am not even sure it works well because markets have evolved and lots of them are now traded almost 24 hours. So unless you have way too much time on your hands I would look at other things to study for trading.

Good Luck should you still want to go that way, I sure wish you can succeed where I failed.

@ BASH
Thanks for the advice. I've collected a lot of pdf files from Search "[AUTOLINK]Gann[/AUTOLINK], W.D. New Stock Trend Detector" (256179 documents found) - DOCSLIDE.US and I'll look for your recommendation too. I've taken courses in Wyckoff, Elliott Wave and Gartley's Harmonics, but Gann looks esoteric. His "Tunnel Thru The Air" reads like the Lotus Sutra where the meaning is hidden in the interpretation of the text. I struggled through all the previous master's teaching and I'm much better off in my trading. Now Gann, who many say is the best of them, has proven to be much more of a challenge.

@Larry
Thanks for the encouragement Larry. I need it. I first studied Wyckoff's method and I'll always remember his description of a successful trader as my guide: Self-Reliant, Clear-Minded, Skillful and Persistent. These market masters have greatly helped build my confidence and greatly improved my trading. No doubt about it.

If anyone else has suggestions for online class training for Gann, please let me know.

Yep, I've never understood the Gann fascination. And I've never seen statistical proof that his methods were/are profitable. Even Gann's own trading success is questionable. In one of his books, Alexander Elder recalls a conversation he had with Gann's son. He said his father's riches came from selling books and courses.

Does anyone know which Gann method that the Chicago Day Trading website teaches? Is it worth the price?

I've seen the website for First Trade Dates for stocks, but I cannot find any website for First Trade Date of ETFs. Does anyone know where to find this information? Although there are websites listing IPOs, but they don't have historical data for ETFs that have been trading for many years which is what I'm looking for.
