Stock trading charts... As a newb that is starting from the very beginning. Where would you suggest to look for charts? Anyone know how Tradingview.com compares to the ones you use?
I would eventually plan on day trading multiple times a week when I get set up and trained to do so. Would be starting out with an account of 25K+.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I've used most, but not all. From metastock to esignal. I'm currently subscribed to tradingview. My preference currently is Tradestation Version 10. Tradingview has a plugin for tradestation so you can trade through tradingview, but that's not really my thing.
Account size of $25k & Day trading multiple times a week - A futures trading program would be your best bet. TradingView is great but is not the priority of futures day traders. Sierra Charts and a few others rock.
As a newbie - Define what you want to trade; stocks, futures, options, etc... then invest in a reputable education and mentoring programe for that class of securities. Your chosen mentor will most likely have a preferred platform that would be ideal for you.
Thank you. I plan on trading stocks. Futures is a concept that I have not studied in depth and am not sure if I want to go down another rabbit hole while I am already headed down another rabbit hole. I have joined a trader group, however he offers a class and it is a bigger investment that I will need to prepare for by getting all these basic things down first if I am going to spend the 2k for his courses.
Does anyone know if I can Short on Tradingview.com with paper money?
