Microsoft Fixer for Windows (7, 8, 10) Uninstaller problems
Can't say it better than that. Slightly tedious in that it will only tackle one snafu at a time (you have to re-run it for each problem) but it really does fix stuff that refuses to uninstall itself properly, even after CCleaner, etc have been tried.
Sorted out problems that have lurked for years (e.g. programs that just appear as a page icon in the Control Panel Installed Programs list and say they can't find XYZ.msi or whatever else resource is missing when you try to uninstall them).
Control Panel and Installed Programs now flies again. Happy daze.
