There are two good multi-monitor apps. I use DisplayFusion, but I used to use UltraMon. I don't know if they do it, I don't use a laptop to trade so don't experience what you are going through.

I'll check them out. Laptop is awesome. I just spent 2 weeks in Moscow visiting friends for the New year's holidays. Took my laptop with me, open it up and boom! I'm trading there an hour or two a day, no muss, no fuss. Gotta love it

I've been playing with the free software AutoHotkey, to program some keyboard hot keys to move around quickly between my charts on various monitors, and for fast trade entry, and management, etc. In the process I realized how powerful AutoHotKey scripting can be. I actually programmed an AutoHotKey script to save/restore the location of all my windows on my various monitors.

Now when I open my laptop, and Vista/Nvidia re-numbers my monitors, and all my windows jump around because of the new monitor configuration. All I have to do is hit 'Control-Shift-S' to save the location of my windows before opening the laptop, then hit 'Contrl-Shift-R' and the script moves all my windows back to their original position instantly.

Not exactly, but you need 6 devices to feed 6 monitors

isn't this an external graphic card with 6 video exits one can connect to six monitors.
I am not sure how this device works, but by looking at the image posted by the seller, (attached) it seems that one needs 1 pc, this adapter, and six monitors.
what six devices are you referring to? do you mean 6 computers?

No, look at the description:
"
Can support up to 6 additional display monitors (one display adapter required per monitor)
"
This is just a simple external graphic adapter. you plug it into your usb port and voila you have ONE additional hdmi/dvi port. It's a really simple device, I use two with my laptop. Most of these devices are identical, just pick the one with good price/customer rating.
