On the right is the trading machine, that only does trading, and uses three 30" Dell monitors. On the left is the old trusty iMac which does everything non-trading.

Thats why I generally use black background charts, to cut down on the output from the monitors. It is also why brightness adjustment and backlighting type for the monitor can be important.
I haven't done it yet, because I still have a day job, but if and when I'm able to trade my own account for a living I intend to have what might be the strangest of the setups here. I have a broken tailbone, sitting is a pain in the ass :-(. I'm thinking I want to spend most of the trading hours on a treadmill running at a low enough speed I can comfortably type, but moving just so my body position isn't static.

Now, I really need to start doing something other than sitting, and this is something on my list of things to look into. I would really love to have a setup around a treadmill, but have not found anything yet. I may not trade, but would love to see the markets and perhaps TV/netflix while on the treadmill. I thought maybe doing this through the slow lunch period would help me get some activity. If anyone has a setup, please post it.
