This thread is to take a poll of sorts as to what an individual trader would call "over trading". I would like to know everyone's opinion good bad or indifferent.
My definition of over trading is simply trading to much size for your account balance to handle.
Example = 10 contracts on a 10k account.
Playing on sim is fun and all however you do that in there live and you mine as well write the check for the 10 large in full to your broker now.
All are welcome to give your opinion in here.
Trade smart OR JUST DON"T TRADE...
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I don't know if there is an answer exactly without knowing what someones methodology is.
Some of the big shots that scalp might do a thousand turns a day and that wouldn't be overtrading....for me I would say if I did like more than 4 trades I might be overdoing it based on the kind of stuff I look for.
Really, if I get one trade that's good enough but I keep my eyes open for more.
Edit: just rereading your post and I think what you really mean is what is taking to much risk which is a different subject.
I have no problem trading 5% but I don't recommend it for anyone else.
5% wheeeeewwwwwww. That's waaaaay beyond anything I ever studied.. WOWWWW. You must trade a very sizable account then I assume. which is very cool to say the least. You have a high tolerance for risk then I see. So be it if it works for you and makes you money in the process. KUDO'S
