Hi all I’m pretty new to EL and just wondered if the below is possible?

Ideally I’d like to use the price/data from one ticker/symbol as an entry signal on a separate ticker.

Ie

If AAPL> X then Sell SPY

If APPL =< Y then Buy SPY.

essential getting price data from one instrument to provide buy/sell signals for another?

Any help or examples greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

leader108,

using legacy EasyLanguage strategies you can only trade on the main data series i.e. Data1. Having said that you can load additional data streams to your chart and access them from the code - for example "Close of Data2" would provide the closing price of a second data series. Apart from that you might also want to look into PriceSeries Providers that can be used to provide data from other instruments within your code.
