Disable Automatice Updates in TradeStation 10

Enjoyed all the helpful dialogue in the thread.

I can't really add much except I guess I've been lucky. At startup TS 10 will do it's update thing, usually under 2 minutes, then launches and so far never had a problem with indicators, functions, etc. Hope it stays that way!

The new owners are supposedly going to be enhancing the system and promoting it sometime this year, I hope it works out as I enjoy TS, never been on anything else although NT is tempting but I would need a couple proprietary indi's re-coded.

Does anyone here know how to disable automatic updates in TradeStation version 10.x? The only thing I can find in the help section is this message: The Update Manager is only available for users who have test versions of TradeStation.

I have had issues with TS erring when applying updates, so I would love to avoid this by disabling and only applying updates on my schedule. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks to FrankData, a student and fellow Escuela-de-Trading alumnus, he has contributed to BLOCK the tradestation 10 "Mandatory" Updates.

The workarround is as follows:

Remove the Administrator permissions to the user.
Run the TS10 application, without administrator permissions.

Everything works: The systems, the data feed, etc...
Everything except INSTALL mandatory and instrusive updates.

I realize this thread is kind of old. I am new here, or I would have posted long time ago.

I haven't had TS10 force an update on me since forever. I update manually when I want to.

Change HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TradeStation Technologies\TradeStation\Versions\10.00.00\Platform\Updates\AutoDownload from 1 to 0. That stops it.

I mostly use TS9.5 myself, but I have both versions installed, since I work with other traders who use TS10 and write code for both. There are plenty of things to dislike about TS10, but also several great new features
