LOL- nothing like some good confirmation bias to start your day! Sounds like your problem is the kind of deal breaker I'd like to avoid. Sierra support can be terse or gruff but they'll get back to you ASAP if there's an issue.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thanks for all the replies. I think I have my final answer, to not get involved w these guys.
With the caveat that every broker has disgruntled clients, the Public Service Announcement vibe of this post in
@tradeSlinger - got you beat (maybe), I've been with Tradestation 18 years now.
Still with them, and for many things they are still the best alternative out there. One feature I use TS for is 100% unique in the retail algo trading industry.
That said, their support is weak. As a result, I spend a lot of my time supporting my students with Tradestation issues because Tradestation does not or can not.
But I've also got management contacts at TS, and when things go really haywire (once every few years), I get good response from them.
I've noticed the support from just about every broker has gotten worse since Covid. @decarleytrading is the big exception to this. Her service has always been top notch.
Well, this is a fairly short thread, and there are, so far, only two unhappy posters. This is not necessarily all that hate-filled.
But thanks for giving the other side of it to balance things out. The fact is that every broker and every platform has issues sometimes, with some users, and things tend to sort themselves out one way or another. People usually will end up with a company they are fairly happy with. Glad you're happy with them.

Frankly, I think someone saying they have been using Tradestation for years without issues is much more fishy than someone calling out Tradestation poor support.
Well if this counts, I've been with them since their SuperCharts and 2000i days (20+ years), long before they became a brokerage. I have significant funds with them and use them because I have invested too much in EL and strategies with them to fully move somewhere else. I do have accounts with several other brokerages though. This doesn't mean that I don't find their customer support appalling, and if I have to start now, I will not use them and I will stand by my statement not to recommend them to anyone.
I just went down memory lane and dug up the receipt for my 2000i purchase for those who still think this is fishy.
Thanks for all the replies, positive and negative. I actually don't want my biases confirmed, I wanted some input about whether my initial experience was typical and the preponderance of the evidence, even from their partisans, is that support is indeed a weak point for them. Ahmed, my Chat contact followed up by email a few days ago with the correct link (that is not on their site) so the ball is in my court,.
I just started this legit thread because although I'm fairly committed to Sierra Chart at this point, there is an aspect to it that I feel like I just don't have completely under control, and wanted to shop for a platform that did not make me feel that way. For example, I feel like if I change one thing on SC I may never be able to find the parameter again, their preferences all scattered all over the place- (you know the drill if you've worked w SC). Tradestation is perhaps the one charting program I have not kicked the tires of over the last number of years and I have a certain fondness for it, or at least the idea of it. Back before Ninja it was kind of the only game in town if memory serves. And the UI is "fixed", not an infinite fractal of customization, and it's a legit desktop program, not some Web Cloud thing which I do not want.
Maybe it's a great program and I'll be missing out but when I was on the dating scene, I learned that there was usually a "tell" on the first date that, if you were really listening, contained the kernel of what the whole experience would be like and I feel like they missed their window with me. I'm also relying now on some things in SC that I doubt TS has.
"The link works for me. If I email it to you it will just be the same link"
(10 days later, emails a different link)
Ah, what might have been. ¯\(º_o )/¯
Thanks again everyone.
