My name is David Raider. Please call me Dave. I am a day trader and I only trade the futures. Fortunately, I do well with them. Awhile back, I decided to automate my trading so I sat down and wrote a program that does just that. Taking it a step further, I've decided to have those trades post here (amongst other places) in real time. To keep things clean, this journal will only track the E-mini S&P, better known as the ES.
I have two programs in place: "Assassin" and "Scalper":
Assassin sets a 3 point stop and a 20 point target. Like its name implies, it looks to literally murder the market. Once I am +2.5 points in profit, Assassin moves my stop to even. At the break of +5 in profit, Assassin starts trailing my stop tick for tick. When the stop or target is filled, it will post the trade. Assassin tends to trade 3-4 times per week.
Scalper looks for smaller moves and sets a 2.5 point bracket order when it enters. At +1.5 points in profit, Scalper moves my stop to even and trails tick for tick afterward. Like Assassin, Scalper will post entry, stop to even and wherever it covers. Scalper tends to trade 1-3 times per day.
Please feel free to follow along. If it helps you make a few bucks, even better.
Welcome to my journal and happy trading.
Dave

Long time, sir. How are you? Excellent question. Well, I guess it would make sense to separate the two, since having both might make it confusing and to hard to follow along. Thanks for that. It hadn't occurred to me. What do you think will be the best way to go about doing so?
jgreene,
First, please check your private messages as I just saw yours this morning and replied. Sorry for the delay. As to your question, there's a chance I'll be opening a signal site someday so I'm keeping the entry signals themselves classified for now. However, until I decide what to do one way or the other, I figured why not give the actual trades away. I'm hoping this will work as intended here but if this page ends up having to be refreshed in order to see the trade, I'll do this on sites like Twitter as well. With Big Mike's approval, I'll post all the contact information for any other such pages.
I'm hoping to have this up and running as early as tomorrow. I'm just missing one small part in my code. So, please check back soon and thanks for stopping by!
i have read it inbetween your first lines somehow that it may make sense to separat the things because real-/neartime-posting has its own dynamic.
so we try to fix a "how to act here with this thread " :
i would recomend that all folks who have something to say, to ask or to discuss use the second "dsraiders trades discusion" thread - please just open+ name an additional one.
if someone has a question / wants to talk about something from here he / she can copy the posting from this "live"-thread and paste it as a quote in the Discusion-thread - and there the talk can go on .....
thats my first how-to-idea for this.
also i will watch the things + move posts if necessary.
what do you think about this ?

Max, I think it would be a good idea to keep your and jgreene's posts in place, as many people will probably have the same questions and that will lead them here.
Thanks,
Dave

This has obviously taken a lot of time an effort on your part. I want to thank you in advance and although a new trader myself I will contribute whatever I can to you efforts.
