OK bit of a non-starter yesterday. Woke up with a stinking cold and number one daughter sick off school too.
Dragged myself to the screens and really struggled to dial in. Took a few trades and was up a few hundred into the close and tried to fade that huge last hour 90 handle ES ramp and ended up giving back my profits and another $100.
Feel same today but traded a few micros and banked $330. My daily tgt is $300-$500. If I exceed that I will risk any amount over $500 on another trade and carry on.
Hopefully tomorrow I will feel a bit better and get some more hours in as the markets are all over the place.
ok day 3 and still feel like death, at one point today I was wondering whether I might have this coronavirus
Managed a few MES, just scalps on price action but $280 profit. I was long in the best trade of the day when the intraday triangle formed but I jumped out of it after it broke and pulled back before taking off for 70 handles lol. Staying long isn't my strong point in volatile markets.
Day 4 and had to go the Docs this am. Put on antibiotics for a chest infection and taking some other meds that make me drowsy. Not exactly beneficial to trading but alas, I gave it a bash for a few hours.
Stuck to trading a single micro MES to limit any damage I might do
Ended up with 50 handles profit, shame it wasnt full size.
Profit $260
Total $50751
NFP tomorrow so fingers crossed I feel a bit more with it.
Just wanted to get over $1000 profits for the week so I am on course for the $3000 total required on/after day 15. Slow and steady wins the race.
Tried to trade ZN today but e2t hadn't set my acc up other than to trade micros. Asked them yesterday to sort it and it still hadnt been sorted today so just traded MES again.
PC crashed into the close and by the time I logged back in to close my little 1 lot of MES it was 15:13 CT which is 3 mins past the allowed time of 15:10 to close out your trades.
It's a strange rule as Oneuptrader allow you to run to 15:15 CT which is when the CME exchange closes.
I told customer service of my issue but they didn't give a fig. They even told me the CME closes at 15:10 when in fact it's 15:15 but the 15:10 rule was broken and that was that.
I said there must be some allowance surely for things like this as there is no function in RT Pro to close out trades by a certain time, my exposure was tiny and I still closed it by the time the exchange closed but they won't budge.
Poor customer service and no allowance for unfortunate situations and arrogant service reps.
First at all, it's a pity that you lost your account because of this computer issue.
CME doesn't close at 15:10, CME doesn't close at 15:15, CME closes at 16:00 CT
FYI, R-Trader has the possibility to close trades at a specific time (go to trader-dashboard, right-click the account and click "view risk Parameters", there you can set all you need.
