Not too sure what value the dpQGP adds to your 9/20/200.

Since it's another pair or MAs displayed in a different way.

Seems like it might almost be replicating Your existing Triple EMA?
Ie your 9 EMA is Sloping up, so the lower Channel is trending up.
Your 20 EMA Sloping up so the higher channel is trending up.

Your 9/20/200 is stacked, and the QGC is also stacked.

You'd have to zoom out and do a side by side to verify.


I like your Micro scale in technique, I enjoy a scale in myself 😎.

Since you switched up your timeframes this week, did you ever try scalping using the range chart?
My go to is 8R for ES/CL/GC, 16R for NQ.

Feb 20,2024 : Wow, what a day ... downtrend, reversal, then downtrend, reversal .....

Yes, you are right. for some reason, i see different layout compared to what dpQGP posted . i will check with that indicator owner.

What happened today progress:

Today and this whole week, i planned to play dpQGP, along with 9/20/200 only on EVALS, no PA.

WIth that said, i have taken in the morning 9.30 AM Session: TPT-1 and TPT-2 with 50K evals as shown below



Clearly as you see, the huge drop at 9.30, market opens, confirmed my 9/20 downtrending, and i kept shorted on every pullback, but today it was mostly quick scalping for every 5 to 10 points, as you see pink color (entry), blue color (exit).

until reversal, my short-, buy cover, were successful.

Result: reached +$1200 in TPT Evals.

I can not touch 50% of profit goal in eval, thats $1500. so i stopped TPT evals today.



Moved to APEX Evaluations: 50K after 11 AM EST

My aim was to pass 4 Apex evals. and I did really good today on downtrending day , passed 2 apex evals. but i failed 2 evaluations,

between 2pm to 3 pm, it was total chop for me, so i failed badly the 2 apex evals.




Result:



Today: mostly scalping day, not worth following the strategy, but as long as you are disciplined to lock profit quickly, it is good.

otherwise it is great day.

lets focus more on PA, with only MNQ, i will soon start with PA trading , the discipline on PA, should be super most HIGH priority, that will be real trading journal i would love to motivate myself and others. until then , enjoy the scalping with EVALS,

Feb 20, 2024: Evening session , 6.30 PM

I am planning to experiment, the next most interesting indicator developed "QGBetterChannelMTF)"

as you see below screenshot, i configured for 2 minutes timeframe, with MTF = 3



my idea I am experimenting here:

1) only MNQ trades
2) only 2 minutes timeframe or 5 minutes, the longer it works best.
3) whenever the candle touch the middle of the channel, from top , i buy 1 MNQ
4) i repeat this every 10 to 20 points, or touch middle line again

5) every 15 points , i sell 1 mnq, to lock my profit.

I will update you my progress , this is slow but i am confident, this is going to hit big in long term survival, and slowly we can grow our PA account in future.

Feb 21, 2024 : Interesting Open , but choppy afternoon

* It is FOMC day, as i always wanted to finish my trading in the morning, and want to sit idle in afternoon.

* Morning was fun, secured +$1300 profit in TPT evals, and apex eval.

* Progress: 3 Takeprofittrader , and 1 Apex was the goal today.

Morning session : 9.30 AM EST to 10.00 AM EST



1) As market tempted to open big, but failed to go up above 17510, hence i decided to short.

2) every time the whole number 17500 comes, i tried to wait for rejection, then short, multiple times i scalped for 5 points on NQ.

3) As you see above, Pink color Short entry, and Blue color Exit for short.

4) when at 200 ema was testing, in chart 2 minutes, i was waiting for short, if rejected, that was great decision i took.

I stopped when i reach closer to 50% of profit goal ($3000) .

Afternoon Session : 2 PM FOMC

I was avoiding 2 PM fomc minutes, but i forced myself to trade at 2.45 PM EST

it was choppy though, result i lost Apex Evals badly, and i repeatedly renewed APEX 3 times, all 3 times i was closer to $52500, but lost the account. The reason was, I was forcing myself to PASS in one day (due to Apex one day pass rule).

never ever force yourself when u were not comfortable trading.


Tomorrow, i will continue the APEX eval, with fresh 50K

I am still NOT starting my PA accounts, i want to get disciplined more, so i get my confidence to trade PA.

Feb 22, 2024 => Huge Up day, direction is your friend


As title of this journal says, you must be taking only LONG the whole day.. isnt it ?

But most will follow the rule for some extent, then they think it is overextended, here is the bearish reversal comes, but market takes all your stops for bearish takes, ended up huge !!!!

I started the day late due to some personal commitments, but at 10 AM EST i started trading.

My Focus was to pass 1 APEX, and 3 TPT, and i took today 91% off Bulenox accounts, so traded 4 of them.

Result:
* Apex: 1 eval failed
* TPT: 3 evals reached the goal :-)
* Bulenox: 4 evals failed :-( this is really frustrating me today.

What happened at 10 AM EST

later in afternoon 2 PM After, the whole action i took was opposite of the market, clearly the choppy trades....



What is 50% consistency Rule:

I thought i reached my profit goal $53000 today yes true, but it is my 2nd date, today profit is +$1750

as per TPT, i cant exceed 50% of profit goal in one day.

$1750 / $3000 => 58.3%

to make it below 50%, i need to trade for another $501, so

$1750/$3501 => will go below 50.0%

For safer side, I will calculate for 49% (0.49) , below is my target:

TPT1: Best Profit: $1605, so $1605/0.49 = $3275, need +$275
TPT2: Best Profit: $1830, so $1830/0.49 = $3734, need +$734
TPT3: Best Profit: $1820, so $1820/0.49 => $3714, need +$714

So i will be focusing still in passing

1 apex eval=> continue
3 TPT => trade only MICROS, so i will try to reach $501 in next 4 days.

is it true that, in market directional day, it is easy to trade, but we make it life complicated , and fail or give up all profit at some point of time ??

Afternoon session is something i could have avoided.

I think if there is a high probability of making money against the trend then one should take that trade with a planned out exit of course. However, if the market is making new highs and I had to just pick a direction then yeah I would say go long. So I agree and disagree at the same time.

Also, I am curious about your decision to use a prop firm to trade. Why not just use the money you put into the evals and trade the micros?

You are 100% right but the time I took to understand the futures last 1 year is invaluable, I am super confident if I used my own money in cash account I would have lost more than 100k, because that much the potential I played last 1 year with mnq and nq.

The prop firm is good to start with first 1 year, but you are right, now time to load our cash now , I just want to postpone for another 6 months to 1 year to invest with cash account, I still miss lot of factors particularly i want to practice more on cutting losses quickly.

Yes, you read it right. The biggest secret i am going to reveal today, that i experienced today, which i explain below.

Whats my goal today ?

I started early, but as you know, my goal as i planned (see below):

As of Feb 22:
TPT1: Best Profit: $1605, so $1605/0.49 = $3275, need +$275
TPT2: Best Profit: $1830, so $1830/0.49 = $3734, need +$734
TPT3: Best Profit: $1820, so $1820/0.49 => $3714, need +$714

APEX : 20th eval: need $1200

What happened today, how i approached the above targets

As i know it is important day, standing at the edge of each account, i decided not to trade using copier.

So i attacked one account at a time.

Take Profit Trader: First i took TPT1, then TPT2, and then TPT3.

While doing this approach, the time i started was 8.20 AM EST, the market was nicely trending up around 18050, it was approaching high of the premarket , my view was bullish .

My thought process was, any 2 points is my winning profit, or max 5 points. not more than that. and i want to rinse and repeat the same. and as soon as i reach $500, i switch to TPT2, then TPT3.




It worked well, until TPT3 comes in to play.

While on TPT3, the time was 9.20 AM EST. for some reason, i was thinking wrong, i thought it is over extended, and before market open, i thought there will be pullback, so i shorted NQ at 9.20, and i had 3 qty to 5 qty averaged.'

In no speed of time, there is a quick bounce at 9.21 am est, the NQ went up to 18110 from 18095
See below chart : 9.20 to 9.25 i lost it . SECRET LESSON: NEVER EVER ASSUME IT IS OVERBOUGHT OR OVERSOLD. GO WITH MARKET.

After losing TPT3, i decided the mindset need to be adjusted now. SECRET LESSON: Take a quick break, if possible 1 hour break, and come back, and FORGET PAST MISTAKE, treat the day just started

It worked, after i take a quick break almost 1.5 hours, i came back to trading desk at 11.00 AM EST

and started trading my APEX-20th eval, it is most important, bcos yesterday i tried 5 times , and failed, now i need only +$1200 more in APEX Eval.

At 11:30 see below chart, sorry for the low quality of picture.

SECRET LESSON: Taking break works, dont get greedy, scalp every small points like 5 , repeat for 5 times if A+ setup found, keep 1 runner

Predicted the move towards 200 ema, on reversal, from bottom, it touched 18041 , from 17995 , but multiple trips.


Now, all 20 APEX Evals are ready to convert to PA, but i am not going to touch it until MARCH 01.

Bulenox 1 PA is ready, will not convert until March 10th.

TPT 2 evals are ready, but need to filp MNQ for 2 more days, for 5 minimum trading days to cover.

Whats next:

Signed up for Blusky pro static+ Growth account $200,000 today, and started with full confidence, guess what, i lost -$850 on it , at 12 NOON, thinking that 200 ema will pullback, it did , but i was not ready to take reversal on 200 ema breakout.

SECRET LESSON: ALways keep an eye on 200 ema, if possible wait for breakout, dont assume it is failed, or breakout happened. See it in ur eyes, let it happen, u dont have to get in exactly at low , it is ok to miss 10 points ...

I will continue working on this discipline, strategy, risk management (on cutting losses) , choosing the RIGHT TIME to trade, taking breaks frequently, will work on BLUSKY static+ from monday until March 01 for PA Journey.
