I was wondering if anyone had any information on the options course at tradingdominion.com ? A few weeks back somebody mentioned them in another thread, I exchanged a few emails with them and then POOF they disappeared and stopped answering. Now I don't know if my questions got to tough or maybe it's something as simple as an extended summer break for them but I'm curious if anyone has any feedback on their options training.
Thanks
V
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I've purchased the course and I understand it to be the first of several that Ron has planned. I am surprised to hear that they stopped responding because, in my experience, they are very responsive.
Anyhow, I consider this a valuable course if you have an account large enough to take advantage of Portfolio Margin.
It is definitely not options 101. You will need to have a reasonable amount of options trading experience to understand and appreciate the information.
That being said, he also does a very good job of covering options 'basics' when it comes to reading a chart and understanding the effects of first and second order greeks.
If you are looking for a relatively conservative approach to income options trading and don't mind actually having to think, then this education is worth considering.
I should have been more clear...it was not tradingdominion I had correspondence with but a poster on this forum.
Then the poster disappeared. So this shouldn't be a reflection on the folks at Tradingdominion.
The poster on the forum told me through private email that he took 195K to 400k in 5 months ( admitting that they were an aggressive trader) and that they had about 125 people in a Skype group that were doing 5 - 10 % per month. With these kinds of returns then they would all be managing money soon and certainly Ron wouldn't need to sell a course ( or soon it will be courses I guess)....these kinds of returns naturally make one skeptical. Your reply says it is a "conservative " approach. So now I am confused.
I'd like to hear more from you if you don't mind so I can try to hash out if this course would be a good match for me and also hear more about your personal experience with the program. Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your feedback.
If you want a very good idea of Ron's general approach, the couple of YouTube videos he's produced are a great place to start:
I believe these videos speak to the conservative nature of the approach as I mentioned. His course essentially builds upon the concepts in the free material above in important ways.
I'm not familiar with the Skype group you mentioned. The course has support channels on Slack that are very active.
5-10% per month sounds like a recipe for disaster to me and is not an expectation that aligns with my read of the course material.
There are many stories of options traders who make consistent high monthly returns for prolonged periods, then start a fund only to have the law of large numbers catch up with them.
I do see how highly leveraged trading of ATM structures with Ron's STT could yield those type of returns in the current market. We all know that markets change though.
anyone else involved with this program......the poster that had sent me PM's regarding this has not been around since May 2018.......so maybe he blew out account or perhaps some other reason.....is there anyone involved with this course that can give more feedback?
