With permission garnered with @Richard, I am free to bring the codebase here at futures.io (formerly BMT). There's a lot of indicators, a few bar types and an issue with the indicators and bar types that use a method of approximating extended data through a DLL.
In my view Richard has moved on from MtM to do his thing, trade his way and I am deeply thankful that we all got to hang out over there. The work there was a passion. I think my only real super contribution was the idea of taking the fisherCCI's asymptotes as an indication of a significant event (cycle high/low something).
What I need from you all is 'how'.
Should a thread be started with subthreads containing the brief intros for each or in bulk and attach the .cs files?
Some other method?
I personally like the journal approach with the bulk of them in one place as beta and unconverted to ninjatrader's latest version. What say you? What are the conventions of this site that matter? Lend me your thoughts.
As for the rest, I would suggest that a single thread be created for the discussion of all indicators, screen shots, etc, but that each individual indicator have its home located in the Download section since that is what it was created for after all.
I'm not sure how many you are talking about. If it is a few dozen then I would go with above. If it's 100+ then we should discuss more first.
As usual I'm really late responding. This is probably all worked out by now but FWIW: the DLL source code was available back then, and if echoeversky doesn't have it I might be able to find a copy.
However, anyone who uses that method of extending the per-bar data has to install certain classes as a DLL to force ninja to keep that code constant across indicator recompilations. It was an unfortunate but necessary hack. I found it was less confusing to people to give them the precompiled dll to install, but it's not necessary. You just have to compile the dll classes, build a ninja dll out of them, then remove the classes from ninja, then install the dll.
Your amazing contribution was your enthusiasm for digging into code and trying things out. If everyone were as enthusiastic as you were, I might never have shut that group down. That's why I'm fine with whatever you want to do with the code from that era.
