You can connect IB and ZF on the same MCDT, watch the ZF chart, and send orders on the IB DOM/Chart.
Symbols are different, so you have to select the right ones for both.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I just downloaded two EL guides I found on the forum here. They are in relation to TS. As I understand it, EL for MC is different. Is there such a guide for MC EL, or are these TS ones worthy of the time investment? Thanks much.
95% of TS EL works in MC. MC has their own commands for some things providing functionality that wasn't possible with TS8. I just use the built-in help to find functions.
What you are saying is exactly the setup I used and HERE is my problem:
I have two charts in my workspace:
1) IB data based chart
2) ZF data based chart
I have a MC chart trader and DOM connected to the IB account.
Whenever I make an order (ChTr, DOM), it will display entries and exits (lines for active trades, markers for historical trades) only on the IB chart. But I d like to have this information displayed on the ZF chart as well, since I am making decesions based on ZF data, I dont want to switch to IB chart to see my trade displayed (entry, SL, PT).
So this is the main question, how to merge the two charts somehow.
Yes, I've been checking everyday.
I've downloaded and installed it but I'm having some issues.
1st Using the chart trader tool on the right, the drag and drop of the STP icon always gives me a BUY order not a Sell order. I've tried dragging under the current price but no difference. ie current price = 5950. Drag STP order button to 5930.
Confirmation box shows "Buy 1 ZM1 @5,930 Stop Market" Obviously it gets filled straight away because it's a Buy not Sell.
Or am I just having a seniors day with this software??
2nd Issue is I connect right click on the chart and select a Sell stop order as per NinjaTrader.
The above link says I can???
3rd The colors of the printed chart still look crap. How do I change them???
Is there gonna be a beta of Multicharts Discretionary Trader for free usage as well? I guess this MC7 Beta is paid or trial only (the download is different from MCDT, 12 MB more).
zury - MC can't do that yet. You can't see orders on chart that is not from your broker. MultiCharts wrote it here on forum already. MC support told me they are planing to have this in some later release.
NW27 - you can change colors of chart via right click in chart - format window. If you want to change colors of OHLC/CSticks - right click in chart/format instrument/style.
I don't really understand your second question - you can place orders if you hit right click/place order. But it only works on chart from your broker, not on different datafeed.
First problem was on Alpha too...but I don't use it that way I place orders as I described here and it works well.
BTW: MC Beta is one of the best platforms I have seen...alpha was good too it NEVER crashed and I used it for about two weeks. If I compare this with NT....you can't really compare it. This software is flawless!
