This indicator is based on tradestations free momentum indicator but I added a feature that is a histogram by default, smooths the histogram, adds a moving average to the histogram and reference lines in the suubgraph.
thanks to larrybetsy's posts on volume profile and tpo, i copied his format to add this function to the standard tos monkey bars. in the options you can toggle to "separate" the ETH and RTH profiles, or "combine" the day into a single standard profile all within the same study (no need for 2 separate studies). all other standard tos options still remain, i just have them turned off atm in screenshot. props again goes out to larrybetsy

Note: I only trader ES, and I made it to work for ES and MES. I don't know how and if it works on other instrument, but I am sure tweaking a little bit the code you will make it work.

Version 3 - added PAN toggle button on tool bar, when pressed puts into "set" panning mode - no need to hold CNTRL key down. Select PAN button to exit this mode. Pressing and releasing CNTRL key exits "set" panning mode. ESC key press and release exits "set" panning mode.
Version 2 - code clean up and optimization
Many thanks to Devdas for the ScrollsLite code, my inspiration for MousePan.
For as long as I have used NT I have wanted the ability to pan around on the chart. I got used to using the control key to do the vertical and then use the control key to do the horizontal. I asked NT support why does the UI not offer the ability to hold the control key while on the graph and allow me to pan around... Panning around is what you do with google maps - we all know how to do that. Devdas introduced ScrollsLite the other day, but it did not offer exactly what I was looking for plus it has a little more than I need. So I started there and came up with MousePan. Install it on your Chart Panel, move the mouse to a location that you will not select a drawn item. For example don't move the mouse over a bar, keep it just off the bar. Next press the control key, then press the left mouse button. With both the control key and left mouse button pressed, drag the chart around, or pan around on the graph. Maybe someday the NT UI will have something like this built in. Again, many thanks to Devdas.

The features of this indicator have been incorporated into a new version of MousePan - which I recommend over this version.
The combined version lets you use the tool bar and the keyboard, which has advantages if you use chart trading.
***** Depreciated code - see above ******
This is a variation of the MousePan indicator for NT7, which is enabled or disabled using a modification to the charts toolbar. Unlike MousePan, there is no keyboard shortcut needed to pan the chart.
This is useful if you like to use a fixed scale on charts to avoid NT zooming in too much when the range is low, since that would make small movements look large.
If you need to modify a drawing on the chart, turn off panning by clicking "Pan" on the toolbar and then enable panning when done.
When enabled, the chart can be moved up or down by dragging with the mouse held over the chart (hold the left mouse button down to drag).
*** Be aware that enabling chart pan with this indicator may cause problems if you use chart trading unless you turn off panning before modifying orders on the chart. If so, you may prefer to use MousePan which is enabled momentarilty with a control key on the keyboard.

December 11th, 2016 07:52 PM xtrader Very interesting... overwhelming majority of traders fail. So, whatever the personality type that is dominate in trading
(and it is there) should be understood. Found mine and went to trading sites that discuss this and found mine to be in
the small population. Good news.

January 4th, 2024 06:19 PM roc01 The MonkeyBars_ETHvRTH_Study is Powerful! Is there a way to make the trading-numbers LARGER? This is besides magnifyin
g the screen. If Not, then I just magnify the screen. However, quite an achievement! To pin-point the squeezes, I use
the 9 & 21 exponential MAs. Their tight parallel to the direction of when the 9 crosses the 21 points the direction of
the squeeze. Reliable, exacting and PROFITABLE! So, I rate this with 6 Stars!
