The download file contains two indicators which can be used to explore the average range and volume of any intraday time period over a selected lookback period. The average takes into account the day of the week. For example the average volume displayed for any bar period on Wednesdays is only calculated from data taken from prior Wednesdays.
With default settings the indicators calculate average range and average volume from the prior 20 weeks (reference period). The result is then displayed for the last 2 weeks (display period) of the chart. The lookback period of the chart should be larger than the sum of reference and display period. With default setting the minimum lookback period would be 22 weeks + 1 day = 155 days.
The indicators can only be used with fixed period charts (for example 30 min or 60 min charts).
Please take into account that NinjaTrader cuts off the bars at the end of a session. Therefore the last bar of each session may show a comparatively low volume. The indicator does not convert this volume into a pro-forma volume by extrapolating the volume to a full bar.
Update September 16, 2014: Holiday calendar added, day of week is displayed below the histogram.
Detailed explanations how to use the indicator can be found here:

Here is a method to invert charts of VIX, ZN, ZF, ZB if you prefer looking at the mirror image rather the default chart. Full credit to the folks over at Ninjatrader for posting this.
The indicator draws a mirror image of the default chart as a line chart, candlesticks are not supported. The dataseries you want to invert should be specified in the "Input Series" option of indicator. See link above for notes on the custom range.

Indicator updated to Version 2 2019-09-07
Managed to get this sorted out today (finally) for NT-8, with the help of a friend.
As the name implies this is a Delta Momentum indicator (similar to one of the Gomi tools we all used on NT-7).
One thing to note however is that this indicator uses the Order Flow Cumulative Delta that was built into the lifetime license version of NinjaTrader 8 so this will not work with some of the basic versions of the platform.
***Note***
I added some functionality that was missing in the original version (due to my lack of coding skills), this version gives the user the ability to choose the Delta Calculation Type, BidAsk or UpDownTick.
***Note-2***
I'm not sure why, but the file that will download has the original file name even though the indicator included is the corrected version-2.
As the name implies, this NT-8 indicator looks for Inside Bars and then simply paints an all white bar on your candle stick or OHLC bar chart, (it works on Hollow Candlestick charts also).
If the bar is an Inside Bar and is also a Doji (Open[0] == Close[0]) the indicator will paint a diamond on the close of the bar to highlight the Doji for you.
You might have to change the default color choices if you're using lighter colored chart backgrounds.
Indicator will color the candlestick outlines and the candle bodies, one color regardless of the direction they close in (up or down). The indicator is set to calculate on bar close. (no need for it to be anything else)
This indicator is meant as an add on to the irSessionSupportAndResistance indicator here.
The irLabel indicator simply attaches a price label to a Ray drawn on your chart.
If you manually draw a Ray on your chart and want a price label attached to it for reference, simply select the ray and modify the Ray Properties -> Data -> Tag to include the word " session " [i.e., sessionLowRay, sessionHighRay, session1, sessionA1 etc.,]
The indicator has been coded to properly display the price labels in fractions for Interest Rate Contracts [i.e., T-Bills, Notes, Bonds]. When applied to a chart that has its price scale formatted in decimal format [i.e., Equities, Currencies, Commodities] prices will be properly displayed in decimal format.
Updated previous version to correctly paint on top of other Paint Bar type indicators. March 26, 2019
Download link includes irReversalBarsV3
(for some reason the download link still refers to the previous "V2" version's name??)
This NT-8 indicator simply paints a Bullish Reversal bar or a Bearish Reversal bar on your candle stick or OHLC bar chart, it works on Hollow Candlestick charts also.
You might have to change the default color choices if you're using lighter colored chart backgrounds.
Indicator will color the candle bodies solid regardless of the direction they close in (up or down).
The indicator is set to calculate on bar close. (no need for it to be anything else)

I used to use Excel to calculate and average the end-of-day readings of three different Rate Of Change indicators to see if I could graph the differences in Directional Bias across a number of different Futures contracts (Equities, Treasuries, Currencies, Metals, Energy, Grains) in an effort to decide where to focus my trading efforts and capital.
The exercise was time consuming and not that helpful over the long term which lead me to abandon the project, until recently when I revisited the idea using NT-8.
The different period settings I used for the original project (on a Daily chart) were 10, 25 and 35 (Days),
and (on a Weekly chart) were 2, 5 and 7 (Weeks).
The irROCVolatility indicator displays the average of three different (10, 25, 35) ROC (Rate-of-Change) indicators to assist in highlighting directional bias while indicating increases and decreases in Volatility.
I was surprised by the way the indicator works on the smaller Intraday time frames that many of us use as day traders.
I find it helps when I can't understand what Delta is trying to tell me. Hopefully you'll find it useful too.

Exported using Ninja Trader 64-bit 7.0.1000.31
This indicator was developed after reading a request on the NinjaTrader Support Forum. [ here]
One of the members was looking for an indicator to show bars that made the high of the session and the low of the session.
I used to mark these by hand [drawing a rectange or lines] usually on a longer term chart, [a 15 minute for eg.]
The indicator plots the open of the "up-close" bar that makes the high of the session, it also plots the open of the "down-close" bar that makes the low of the session.
I find it helpful for delineating Supply and Demand and for a clue as to when I should change my bias from "leaning long" to "leaning short" and vice versa.
***Note*** Here is a link to a more detailed description of how I use this indicator.
Thanks to a friend for his help getting this to work.
