Many thanks to JonnyBoy who has converted the range bar marker "jtRangeMarker_N7" to NT8.

For range bars only. This indicator plots the maximum high or minimum low of a forming Range Bar. The plots disappear as soon as a new bar forms or the current bar has filled its required range. Draws a box around the current candle that indicates how much further a bar would have to move before the range is exhausted and new bar begins to paint.

Middle of the day and middle of the range (Al Brooks) for MultiCharts - v1

This is a basic indicator prepared while reading Al Brooks' first book.

Al Brooks advises to be very cautious when trading the ES in the middle of the day and in the middle of the range of the day, especially in case of Barb Wire.

This indicator simply identifies the zone which are "in the middle of the day and in the middle of the range of the day". It is supposed to be used for past data, just in order to "have a look".

"Middle of the day" is defined by the user through the beginning time and the end time of the period (default values: 1130 and 1330)

"Middle of the range of the day" is defined by the height of this mid-range compared to the current Hi-Lo of the day. The default value is 0.33 (33%). It means that the "middle of the range of the day" is the range which is at the middle of the current Hi-Lo of the day and the height of which is 33% of the current Hi-Lo of the day.

Multiple Keltner Channels (amaMultiKeltner)

The Multiple Keltner Channels are a generalized version of the Keltner Channels.

Standard Keltner channels are built from a simple moving average (SMA) and two channels lines above and below. The two lines above and below are drawn at a distance from the center line, a distance which is a multiple of the simple moving average of the ranges of the past N bars.

The generalized concept has the SMA replaced with any of 30 moving averages. The volatility measure used to calculate the distance of upper and lower line from the center line can be derived from an average range (AR) or average true range (ATR). You may select different lookback periods for the moving average that serves as the center line and the moving average which is applied to the range or true range.

The Multiple Keltner Channels come with an additional smoothing option for center line and channel lines. The additional smoothing is obtained by further smoothing all plots with a 3-period simple moving average (SMA).

Moving averages colored according to slope: You may also use this indicator to display any of the above listed moving averages and color them according to slope. The slope is not based on a geometrical concept, as this would not be compatible with the scalability of modern charting applications. The indicator adjusts slope to bar volatility such that the indicator may be used across all instruments and bar types with the same settings. The slope is shown as upsloping, downsloping or flat. The degree of flatness which is still considered as being flat may be adjusted via the neutral threshold parameter. When you set that parameter to zero, the slope will not show any flat sections, but the moving average will always be identified as upsloping or downsloping. Channel lines may be unselected, if you just wish to display the selected moving average.

Volatility measures: The standard Keltner channel uses the range. This indicator also for substituting the range with the average true range. The average true range is used as default option to facilitate the application of the Multiple Keltner Channels to other indicators.

Applying the Multiple Keltner Channels to indicators: When an indicator is used as input series, the range will always return the value 0. However, the average true range will return the absolute amount of the difference of two neighbouring data points of the selected input series. Therefore the indicator may only be applied to other indicators, as long as the offset formula is set to "True_Range".

Paint Bars: The Multiple Keltner Channel indicator comes with paint bars. The paint bars are colored according to the slope of the center line. The paint bars may be displayed without the indicator plots. The colors of the paint bar will then show the slope of the moving average selected as center line.

Sound Alerts: In case that the sound alerts are active, the indicator will alert you when the trend derived from the slope of the center line changes. Currently, there are no sound files included with the zip file, but it is easy to create them and copy them to the NinjaTrader sounds directory.

Open Range starting from previous day v1

This is an Open Range indicator that starts from the previous day. In the example it run from 161500 the previous day to 930 the next day. It looks busy but I can't think of the way to make it looks better, open for suggestions for v2.

Print Instrument Information

This in a NinjaTrader strategy that I use to output information and charts about an instrument, including:
-Range statistics (Including ON, RTH, and IB)
-Harmonic Rotation data
-Day Type data
-SQN Market Type data

When you run this strategy, it will output an Excel Spreadsheet to the directory you specify in the parameters.

There are multiple requirements to run this strategy. This makes use of Microsoft's Interop functionality to generate an Excel spreadsheet. Therefore you MUST have Microsoft Interop installed and add a reference to the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excell.dll in NinjaTrader. You can learn more about how to do this here. And a big thank you to DionysusToast for his contribution.

Nov 5th: have fixed coding problem so that it will no longer function when you change to other chart formats. Right now is good for Range Bar and RangeAlt. If someone tells me the coding for the RangeNoGap I can add that in.

Range Bar Predictor and Price Panel

Exported with Version 6.5. I do not have Version 7 (I don't want to be a pioneer. A pioneer is a guy who ends up in a ditch with arrows in his back).

This is a Range Bar Hi/Lo Predictor (RangeBarPredictor) and a Price Panel (PricePanel) with the Hi/Lo numbers as well as price for the current bar and the previous bar with an option to show the angle of the EMA(34). This was requested by steve2222 in the Wizard II thread.

To insert the PricePanel into a NinjaTrader chart; click on Properties, click on Right Side Margins and change it to 140. Insert PricePanel, it will show up in the expanded right hand margin. There are some adjustments that allow you to change the vertical location of the data.

The panel shows,countdown timer to bar completion in Ticks, Number of Ticks to closest bar end( Green for ticks to High and red for Ticks to Low) current price, Hi/Lo of current bar, Projected HI/Lo of current bar, previous bar close , previous bar Hi/Lo and the angle of the EMA(34).

This panel has been around on NinjaTrader for a long time in various versions with code written by way to many people to give credit to everyone who contributed. I am NOT a programmer, please have a professional review this code before using to trade real money.

Insert the RangeBarPredictor in the panel with the price bars. A down arrow will show the predicted high start of the next bar and an up arrow will show the predicted low start of the next bar. You have an option to change the colors of the arrows. Various versions of this indicator have been posted on NinjaTrader over the years.
