HMAwaveSmooth 5 *
Hello Traders...
This is another adaptation of the HMA. Big Mike built a similar indie years ago for NT7 and it was based on the EMA. I like the HMA because it hugs price better and changes direction sooner. This indie paints 2 HMAs that trail the primary HMA by x candles. This HMA can be smoothed by an EMA of 1 or greater periods. In addition you can color the background based on the slope of the HMA. As with many of my recent indicators, they only calculate what is on the screen. The indie will not show if you scroll back until you hit F5 to recalculate. There is a button on the axis to hide the indicator, so you can bring it into view, evaluate and hide it to declutter your chart. You can add a few characters to the button to differentiate from other indicator buttons.

In the pic is an HMA34, Smoothed by 2 and with the wave 3 bars back.

Trade Well
Bob

r1 (1/23/2021) Max Value for Smooth and HMAback were limited to 100, now open.

r2 (2/11/2021): I don't use Bloodhound or other automated tools, but one user found that this indie does not work with Bloodhound. I found that the problem is with the calculations limited to what is on screen... I found the issue and it is an easy fix. In the zip are two indicators. HMAwaveSmooth is the original that only calculates what is on the screen and HMAwaveSmoothFull calculates the entire history and works with Bloodhound. I will add a new version of all of the indicators that I have posted that have the calculation limiter in a similar manner.
r3 (7/8/2021): changed the description of "Smooth" in the user panel to "Smooth(EMA)" as this is actually the EMA of the HMAwave. By minimizing the HMA, the wave becomes an EMA wave. The HMA can only be set to a minimum of 2, as it is limited by the NT8 HMA function. Both the original and the "Full" version are in the zip.

final rev?: An FIO trader contacted me to add arrows to the swings. In this rev, I added the arrows and also added a filter which is another (larger) HMA. I also added Sound. The filter does not plot, so if you want to see it, you can add another HMA indie. In the pic is a GC 10R chart with the HMAwave set to Period 21 and the filter HMA set to 144. You can disable the Filter and the Sound.

Hourly Pivots (amaPivotsHourly) 5 *
Version 1.0 January 14, 2019

The Hourly Pivots indicator applies the calculation used for daily floor pivots to intraday time frames. The indicator displays pivots for any selectable period of N minutes. All pivots are calculated from the high, low and close of the prior N-minute period. The pivots can be displayed as floor pivots, wide pivots or Fibonacci pivots. The indicator further plots the pivot range, which is a value area derived from the prior N-minute period.

The default setting of the indicator is 60 minutes. With default settings the indicator will display hourly pivots including the Main Pivot PP, Central Pivot CP, Directional Pivot DP, Pivot Range, R1, R2, R3, R4 S1, S2, S3 and S4. The first period always starts with the daily session break. Depending on the period selected, the last period of the session may terminate before completion. It will not carry over to the first period of the next session.

Pivot range: The pivot range is the range between CP and DP. It is a symmetrical range around the main pivot PP.

Prior high, low and close: The indicator also displays the high, low and close for the prior N-minute period. These levels often act as support or resistance for the consecutive N-minute period.

Pivot formulas:

All options: H = prior day high, L = prior day low, C = prior day close, X = H - L
Main Pivot: P = (H+L+C)/3
Central Pivot: CP = (H+L)/2
Directional Pivot: DP = 2*P - CP
Floor Pivots: P = (H+L+C)/3, R1 = 2*P - L, S1 = 2*P - H, R2 = P + X, S2 = P - X, R3 = R1 + X, S3 = S1 - X, R4 = R3 + (P-L), S4 = S3 - (H-P)
Wide Pivots: P = (H+L+C)/3, R1 = 2*P - L, S1 = 2*P - H, R2 = P + X, S2 = P - X, R3 = R2 + X, S3 = S2 - X, R4 = R3 + X, S4 = S3 - X
Fibonacci Pivots: R1 = P + 0.382*X, S1 = P - 0.382*X, R2 = P + 0.618*X, S2 = P - 0.618*X, R3 = P + X, S3 = P - X, R4 = P + 1.382*X, S4 = P - 1.382*X

I-regr Indicator 5 *
The I-regr indicator also known as the Linear Regression Channel consists of two parallel lines, equidistant up and down from the line of linear regression trend. The distance between frame of the channel and regression line equals to the value of maximum close price deviation from the regression line.

If price is below the bottom line - BUY
If price is above the upper line - SELL

The middle line can be also used as the Take Profit area or Target Limit.

Ichomoku Kinkyo Ho Pack V1.2 4 *
I have developed a modification of the venerable Ichimoku Indicators.

In this case, there is a third longer term line 3* the usual 2nd line (Kijun). Why? Because it will line up with a longer term chart 3* higher (i.e. trading chart 150 ticks, LT 450 ticks, or 5 and 15 mins).

Also because the longer term line will often line up exactly with the Clouds that are drawn 27 bars ahead based on current action. The LT Clouds are drawn 81 bars ahead and are the equivalent to the Clouds in the LT chart. This way you don't really need the LT chart but also you see the relationship of shorter and longer term cycles/trends on the same screen which is helpful.

The Ichi3Lines indicator has (too) many bells and whistles such as a Bollinger 'tunnel', triangles that show simple pattern pullbacks within an Ichi trend. But it also has aspects of the official method not available in other indicators such as:

Circles plotted when the Clouds (Senkou Spans) cross up or down, and in my case with slightly different colors so you know immediately whether it's a long term cross or short term cross (these are happening off the screen in the 'future').

There is also a diamond plotted along with an optional line when there is a 'Chikou' cross, which is the current price crossing above or below the Chikou line which is plotted 27 bars in the past. This line is not on the chart because when viewing an historical chart it is very messy. In actual trading that line is in the past and is fine.

There are arrows indicating the basic 9-27 cross (tenkan-kijun).

There are pink arrows indicating when the longer term Kijun (KijunLT) which I have added (darker green plot) crosses above or below the cloud plot. These are strong confirmations of a strong trend indicating longer term breakouts.

There are also many back color options which only work on lighter screens so this picture with black background does not show them.

On this picture, to reduce screen noise, I also did not plot the basic Tenkan and Kijuns (sacriledge!) and only plotted the Kijun LT (dark green dash line) and my own 'equilibrium line' (pink dotted line) which is the average of the Tenkan(9), Kijun(27) and KijunLT (81) medians, the idea being that this is the current equilibrium price. It is around this price that the oscillator is built.

The oscillator: in addition, there is an Ichi 'Squeeze' Oscillator which is quite good but which unfortunately has a small glitch in that sometimes the lines don't plot and I can't figure out why. Also, it seems to happen only with minute bars. They used to work and now they don't and I must have changed something at some point and now can't find out what.

It is designed to help in identifying the longer and shorter term trends together, when they are lined up or not, but also has a faster line (Combo) that is pretty effective at showing extreme OB and OS conditions. There are three lines in the usual 0, OB and OS areas which display the ST, Medium Term and LT slopes of the Tenkan(9), Kijun(27) and KijunLT(81) medians respectively. There are also thicker lines above and below which show when all three trends are lined up.

The oscillator bars plot green when the Tenkan and Kijun slopes are not in agreement, i.e. often during consolidation or retracement zones and indicate caution/indecision. Also excellent for possible pullback/retracement entries in direction of overall trend which has not yet changed but is being challenged.

So for those who like the Ichimoku approach or those who wish to study it, this will prove helpful.

Best to disable most of the bells and whistles such as the Bollingers, pullback arrows and triangles and just work with the lines, Chikou span crosses (diamonds on close), Senkou Span crosses (cloud crosses that are in the clouds indicator and always plot), and the main signal arrows.

Oh. there is also an extreme OB/OS plot (pink diamonds) when the price has moved unusually far from the Kijun (middle green line) based on ATR and that distance. They are quite effective at indicating when a market has got ahead of itself.

Also, you can select paintbars, including divergence. The divergence colors are hard coded as red (in bull mkts) and magenta (in bears) so for those who have red down bars this won't be very helpful!

For trend trading, Ichis are truly superior. If you have a bearish cross or situation and the price has gone beneath both the ST and LT clouds, something which you will have been watching develop for quite some time because the clouds are drawn ahead of time, there is a strong probability of a sustained trend for a while. Similarly, early pullbacks in that situation often present low risk shorting opportunities, especially if the price retraces to the cloud bottom(s) and stops and especially if they are long, flat bottoms, indicating there was a long period of congestion at equilibrium and that value area is now about to change as all the action that was needed to happen there is past, or new perceptions have entered the market valuation matrix.

If anyone can fix the glitch in the Squeeze, I'd be grateful!

Note on Colors: apart from the fact that most were designed on white backgrounds whereas now I am going back to black, a note on the trend colors. I use what could be called a daoist system of colors which might be confusing: bullish colors are light and rising, bearish colors are darker and heavier so falling, so in my case I use golds and yellows for bullish (lighter, brighter) and blues for bearish (like water, heavier). Reds and Greens are neutral usually used for basic bars, longer term indicators, though often red is for some sort of extreme. For people used to red = bearish blue = bullish this can be confusing.

Index 5 *
"Index" is a multi-purpose multi-instrument indicator. It can be use to plot a 2 (or more) instrument spread, a total portfolio value, a 2 (or more) instrument pair or basket trade price, a multi-instrument index of your own creation, or even to calculate a major index (mainly useful for demonstration purposes). It works with "CalculateOnBarClose" set to either false (real-time) or true (for lower CPU overhead).

Parameters are:
1) SymbolList: a comma-delimited list of symbols
2) WeightList: a comma-delimited list of weights (1 per symbol; or a single weight (default: 1) for all symbols)
3) Divisor: A number (default: 1) divided into the sum of (symbols x weights)
4) NoOutputWhenMissingInput: (default: false) if true, plot will be blank for any bars which have a missing input; if false, the last known good output will be repeated.
5) OldestDataMinutes: Input is considered missing if older than this many minutes. If set to 0 (default) Input is considered missing if older than 1 bar. In no event will it use data from a prior day (if the symbol hasn't opened yet today, it is considered missing).

The ""Input Series" for the indicator is NOT used in the calculation; it is the "clock" that drives the output, and must be time-based (i.e. minute, day, etc. bars). The Input Series should be an active instrument (no missing bars). If you want to plot this indicator on a non-time-based chart (i.e. volume bars), you need to add a time-based data series to the chart, and select that as the "Input Series" to the indicator. This indicator may be used as input to another indicator, but if so you must press "F5" after adding it to the chart due to NT7 issues. Exported using NT version 7.0.1000.3

Usage Examples:

(1) Plot a pair trade spread: Long 3 INTC, Short 7 AMD
SymbolList: INTC,AMD
WeightList: 3,-7
Divisor: 1

(2) Plot the spread between two futures months:
SymbolList: ES 06-11,ES 09-11
WeightList: 1,-1
Divisor: 1

(3) Plot the value of a portfolio: 100 SBUX, 300 ACN, 100 AAPL, 200 CAT, 400 T, 100 GLD
SymbolList: SBUX,ACN,AAPL,CAT,T,GLD
WeightList: 100,300,100,200,400,100
Divisor: 1

Reproducing a major index is not especially useful because index quotes and history are easily available from data providers.
The following examples show how they are created, so you can create your own index that has meaning to you.

(4) Plot the Dow Jones Industrial Average (a price-weighted index)
SymbolList: MMM,AA,AXP,T,BAC,BA,CAT,CVX,CSCO,KO,DD,XOM,GE,HPQ,HD,INTC,IBM,JNJ,JPM,KFT,MCD,MRK,MSFT,PFE,PG,TRV,UTX,VZ,WMT,DIS
WeightList: 1 (DJIA is price weighted, all components have equal weight)
Divisor: 0.132129493 (the Dow Divisor as of 7/2/10, see https://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equity-index/files/djia-history-divisor.pdf)

(5) Plot SOX (a market-cap weighted index, weights are shares outstanding on 2/20/11, shares and divisor are from from https://indexes.nasdaqomx.com)
SymbolList: ALTR,AMAT,AMD,ATHR,AVGO,BRCM,CREE, CRUS,HITT,INTC,KLAC,LLTC,LRCX, MKSI,MRVL,MU,NETL,NSM,NVDA, NVLS,POWI,RBCN,SNDK,STM,TER, TSM,TXN,VECO,WFR,XLNX

Initial Balance Range Bands V42 5 *
Exported using NT Version 7.0.1000.26

Indicator will only run on NT 7.0.1000.5 or later.

Discretionary traders: Please use the multi-timeframe version of the indicator for odd minute charts and charts built from ticks.

https://nexusfi.com/download/ninjatrader-7/indicators/938-download.html?view

The indicator displays the current open, the initial balance (IB) and upper and lower range bands that are calculated by adding and subtracting fractions of the initial balance to the IB high and IB low.

You can only use this indicator with an appropriate session template. The opening time will align itself to the start time of the RTH session, as specified via session template. The hybrid setting assumes that you want to use the 3rd intraday session as RTH session for FOREX and currency futures and the second session for all other instruments.

Example ES: Select a session template with the following sessions: Session 1 (night session) 15:30 - 8:30 Central Time, Session 2 (RTH) 8:30 - 15:15 Central Time. Select second session for opening range.

Select length of opening period: The length of the opening range can be selected via indicator dialogue box The default setting is 60 minutes.

Select Offset: With an offset of 00:00, the indicator aligns to the start of the selected session. If you enter a positive value for the offset, the opening range will be shifted forward from the session start. For example if you open a chart for ES with the session template US CME Index Futures, then the session (and the trading day) starts at 5:00 PM Central Time. To display an opening range for the regular session, you need to enter an offset of 15:30, because the regular session starts 15 hours and 30 minutes after the start of the trading day.

Multipliers for range bands: The multipliers for the upper and lower range bands can also be changed. The default settings for the bands are 0.5, 1 and 2, meaning that the first upper band is built from the IB high by adding half of the IB range, and similar for the other bands.

Developing range: Prior to the completion of the initial balance, the indicator plots the developing range in gray to show that the range is still incomplete.

Night session or pre-session range: The indicator also has an option to display the full night session, European or Asian session range. This feature is not used with the default settings. I did not add it on purpose, it was already part of the opening range indicator, and it was easier to leave it than to remove it.

European Session Range: You can select start and end time of the European Session in CET (Central European Time). The European Session is pre-configured for the time between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM CET.

Asian Session Range: You can select start and end time of the Asian Session in TST (Tokyo Standard Time). The Asian Session is pre-configured for the time between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM TST.

Update June 2, 2011: New signature for GetNextBeginEnd() implemented.
Update June 11, 2011: Small bug removed, indicator did not display opening range and pre-session range correctly during the training period (first bars of the chart, after scrolling to the left horizontally).
Update June 21, 2011: The indicator now works with half-pip FOREX feeds. Indicator dialogue box improved.
Update July 25, 2011: Serialization of the plots and indicator dialogue box changed.
Update January 24, 2012: Offset added, opening period no longer needs to be aligned to session start.
Update February 19, 2012: Option added to cut off the opening range at the next session break.
Update October 6, 2013: Minor bug removed, offset was not applied correctly on tick charts, when indicator was set to COBC = false.
Update October 24, 2013: Drop down property added for European and Asian Time Zone
Update December 8, 2013: Indicator partly recoded and custom plot added.

Initial Balance Range Bands V42 MTF 5 *
Exported using NT Version 7.0.1000.26

Indicator will only run on NT 7.0.1000.5 or later.

The indicator displays the current open, the initial balance (IB) and upper and lower range bands that are calculated by adding and subtracting fractions of the initial balance to the IB high and IB low. This version is a multi-timeframe (MTF) version of the standard Initial Balance Range Bands V42 indicator. The indicator adds a second minute bar series to the chart, which is used to calculate the initial balance. It has the following advantages over the standard version:

For tick, range and volume charts: The standard indicator may not display the initial balance correctly, if the last bar expands the initial balance and closes after the opening period. The MTF version of the indicator will display the initial balance correctly, even if the primary bar series does not contain the necessary information for its calculation. An example is shown on the chart attached.

Use with minute charts: You want to use this indicator with minute charts, if the opening period is not an integer multiple of the bar period. Example: You trade 7 min charts and your opening period is 30 minutes.

Select length of opening period: The length of the period for establishing the initial balance can be selected via indicator dialogue box. The default setting is 60 minutes.

Display regular open or one-minute-range: The indicator allows to either display the regular open or the range of the first minute of trading after the start time selected for the opening range.

Developing range: Prior to the completion of the opening range, the indicator plots the developing range in gray to show that the range is still incomplete.

Update July 25, 2011: Serialization of the plots and indicator dialogue box changed.
Update December 8, 2013: Indicator entirely recoded. Offset added, opening period no longer needs to be aligned to the session start. Drop down property added for time zones. Custom plot added.
Update March 15, 2015: Regular open and minute range were drawn back to start of trading day on tick charts. Bug removed.

IntraDay Levels V1 5 *
merIDLevelsV1 indicator:
I primary use this indicator during my trading to find good levels of entry during my intraday trading of the YM! You can find my journal here : https://nexusfi.com/trading-journals/30483-mergodon-topsteptrader-combine-journal.html#post387237 and see a lots of good and bad example to use it Please be advice the paramaters and settings are mainly focusod on YM. I do not know are this levels stand or not stand for any other indexies, commodities etc, but with a proper configuration you can very easly find it out.

Configuration:
- The indicator is quite simple to use. You have to load the default session template 24/7 and based on that timezone you have to setup the regural session start and regural session end time.
- Also you can setup the initial balance period, and the globex session extension level for bigger moves on the market

Hints:
- The levels are calculated from session start (not counting the market closing moves only in case of the Yesterday close time)
- The indicator doesnt calculate perfect timeing on tickchart, just getting the closest closing value. There is no addon for Multiple Time Frame things (Not like Fat Tails advanced indicator, where you have the possibility for exact time calculation). The methadology behind is not to use this levels as signals, more like use this levels to search change in the market conditions
- The indicator was tested on tick chart, if you find any bug please dont hesitate to pm me, I wil do my best to fix the issue
- If you have any other question you can find me in my journal

Change log:
- The old version of this indicator (merTickBasic) was completly rewritten following Fat Tails best pratices, and codebase, and configured it to my taste and use.
- The drawing is using custom plot logic (based on Fat Tails codes, thank you for that!) meaning it should be flawless, and very-very quick

IV Percentile 5 *
The Implied Volatility (IV) Percentile indicator attempts to gauge IV. This is a simple oscillator that returns an IV value from 0 to 100 Percent that's within a selectable lookback period. The user can compare the IV value to either an adjustable axis Value or against a Simple Moving Average.

This is not to be confused with IV Rank which is similar in function but uses a more simplistic calculation.

I have used this indicator as a filter for several mechanical strategies.

Remember...

When the VIX is high, it’s time to buy. When the VIX is low, it’s time to go.

This indicator was compiled using NinjaTrader 8.0.23.1 64-bit

Here is the Basic Version of the Donchian Channel that I had modified, as far as I know this version is working fine. The screen shot attached will show how I changed the plots as seen. I hope you might be able to use this on any market you trade and is not set to be only used on the ES, everything is rounded to the nearest tick and with the off set inputs you should be able to put on any chart or market.

Thanks to everyone that posts indicators in this section and I'm glad I am finally able to add something I find of value.

I am running this on NT7 so I don't know if it will run on earlier versions
