I needed something to alert me to session Highs and Lows so rewrote the default CurrentDayOHL indicator to add the options for audio alerts. Endgame is something for Market Analyzer but this should get me through today's trading.
It appears to be working fine for my purposes but I'll be cleaning it up and adding some additional functionality over the next few days before posting it in the downloads section.
But with this volatility I thought some of you might find it handy right away.
Wav files are 1KHz beep for a trade at new session highs and 440Hz for a trade at new session lows. Sessions are based on the selected session template. Unzip the attached wav zip files and place them in the NinjaTrader>Sounds directory.
If anyone has any ideas to make it more useful for finds any bugs holla back.
I've changed the Hi and Lo dataseries to a single dataseries called NewHiLo. It is exposed so you can use it for conditional cell formating in Market Analyzer. See the far right column in the attached screen shot. Using the Cell Conditions and Alert Conditions settings in Market Anaylzer you can set this up to monitor a basket of instruments and alert you for session Highs and Lows.
I'll play with it some more and add it to the downloads section next week after some further testing, and of course I always welcome any feedback that would make this more useful.
I have two MA windows open usually and no charts, so I'm trying to squeeze as much functionality out of MA as I can.
I've added another dataseries that exposes if the last trade was done at bid/ask/mid as -1, 0, +1, again for pimping Market Analyzer. I'll post it later after some more testing now that we have live data again.
It is now called MarketAnalyzerTools. Latest version attached. It should be ready to go in the Downloads section by the weekend after a few more tweaks and some commenting/versioning etc I need to do in the code.
Pretty major rewrite, so now its officially version 1.00. Not yet fully tested but I've added the option to get your daily high and low data from you data vendor or by the internal Ninja calculations.
How do I set up the BA portion of this indicator in the MA Window? I don't see a plot for this in the drop down menu using this indicator in the MA Window.
Its the plot called BA. Then use Market Analyzer rules to do what you want. The column I have set up is Red/Blue/Black based on the -1/+1/0 value of that DataSeries.
Thanks Fat Tails. I know your very busy but If you ever have any free time could you help me with this? I have tried but can't seem to get the required results. I'm a tweaker at best. Hopefully others could use this new feature on your anacurrentdayOHLv38 …
