I have read many people having huge problems with the stability of Ninjatrader.

I use it since a few weeks and run the 17 beta. I must honestly say that I don't have any problems at all. I have had no crashes at all.

Is the NT7 beta17 so much better than NT6.5 ? Or must I discover the real problems of Ninjatrader later on when I dig deeper into the program ?

So far so good. I just wanted to type this message because not only negatvie comments about NT should be posted

There is a thread with all the details here:

People, including myself, are complaining, because for both NT 6.5. and NT 7.0 there are many bugs that prevent us from using the product as we had expected. That said, NinjaTrader still offers reasonable value for money.

NT7 has come a long way. For a first time install it seems to be pretty good, but have you seen the install instructions (uninstall, remove this, do this, do that, now reinstall...). I think deep down they have some major issues that they are still working out. I think it also depends what parts of NT you are using.

For me, it has been rather stable for a while in that it does not crash. NT7 is vastly better than NT 6.5 in terms of perf and mem use. In terms of functionality, what I use works, but I have stopped doing any new work on NT until I see light at the end of the tunnel.

Ray and company seem to understand they have issues and are committed to fixing them long term, which is great. The problem I see is NT 7.5 or NT 8.0 is not going to happen until 2012 (hope I am wrong).

I own NT, and will continue to use it until I find something better.
