I was wondering if there was a way to Enter and Exit your trades on your Phone - a NinjaTrader App for this in the works?
Sometimes I just can't be at my computer at the times that certain markets close ( for the RTH ) times, especially on those markets that close early ( Corn, Crude Oil, Gold )
How do other traders handle this?
Do you call into NinjaTrader and have them close out of the trade(s) for you?
Maybe get a Tablet and carry it with you to access the NT platform, giving you the ability to monitor your trades throughout the day when you can't be at your computer?
a Side Note question,
why do the Markets close at different times throughout the day, vs all closing at the same time - for Instance:
the ES closes at 3:15 cst , where as Corn closes at 1:45 cst and Crude Oil closes at 2:30 cst ........... why the differences in time for the various markets?
Thank you so much for the help
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I'm not personally aware of a mobile app for NT that let's you handle positions on the go.
What I might recommend, if this is feasible for you, would be to include automation of some sort to handle what you need done.
Based on your example of not being able to close positions at market close, you could code a Ninjascript strategy that flattens your position at a certain time if you're in the market, which would take care of that specific issue and isn't too complicated to develop.
I personally built a web interface to control my strategies and accounts but I went way overkill.
Depending how you have your firewall setup, you do not want to leave RDP open on your system. If you want access to your system remotely securely try looking at RealVNC connect. They have a free version where you can remotely access up to five devices even from your mobile device.
