Hi all-- been member for while searching, looking, reading etc... A thought came to mind which is simple.
What do most of you do?
Do you trade for a living? Really trade and provide for yourself and others?
Do you exist only here in this forum?
do you just exist here as a wannabe trader?
Hoping to find the Holy Grail?
ETC..........
Just curious
As for me I work at a stupid job but hey pays the bills and just thought I would throw out to the community to address for ME and for any newcomers kind of what actual percentage of people that browse/peruse the forums that actually are providing for their dreams, retiement, health insurance, and any significant expenses related to REAL life that you are covering with trading?
Think it might have some meaning to those of us thinking we can find all of our dreams just by downloading a trading platform and throwing 500 bucks at it!
Thanks to anyone willing to let it all out and comment--could save some lots!
It's an advantage to have a cash flow stream that is independent of your trading PL.
The reason is that we all go through drawdowns and if we don't have cash flow from somewhere the fact of the drawdown is going to affect our trading adversely.
In my case, I have a services business. At some point, when I have a very large amount of capital I will scale back that business.
