Those of you not familiar with Alan Kelland's trading method called the "Alan Square" or "DaBox" may find this indicator interesting. Here is a brief excerpt from the documentation:
Alan Kelland's Box Trading Method
A draw tool growing in popularity is the Alan Square, named after its inventor Alan Kelland. Alan's method is first and foremost price action. The square serves as a structure to create
Opportunities
Targets and
Protection
I have been pursuing indicators which map Price structure and facilitates trade decisions. This one caught my eye, because it draws the Alan Square matrix for the day's trading hours in advance of the market. A search of Mikes & the regular Ninjatrader forums yielded no results, so I decided to open this thread instead of contaminating someone else's thread.
When I tried to code this in Ninjatrader 6.5, I quickly found out the Ninjatrader 6.5 cannot draw lines forward in time.
Since I do not have access to NT7, I wondered if someone that does might be interested in having a look at whats possible.
Of course if there's no interest, then I will ask the Moderators to delete or mothball this thread.
I have attached the Tradestation code, a snapshot, and the link to the manual :
I 'm reading more about daBox fun stuff!! Has anyone made any progress in converting the code for the NT7 users ? From the look of things, i presume not ?!?
