Good morning everyone,
I was asked to leave a post introducing myself to the group. I am a husband and father of 3 kids out of college. My primary source of income is procurred from residential contracting. Roughly 10 years ago I picked up my first book from a gent named Wade Cook. THAT was the beginning of a long and painful journey. Painful in so many ways (emotionally and financially). I honestly believe I own one of the largest collections of books, dvd's and complete programs in the state of CT. Lets not forget all of the seminars I attended.
As I look back over the years I have to laugh realizing that I have come full circle, meaning that what I read in my earlier days on how to trade the K.I.S.S. method ment nothing to me. But today it is everything. The simpler I keep my charts the easier it is to focus on price action. Thank you Al Brooks and many others. I look forward to sharing in the future and thank you for welcoming me into your site.

Great to have you as part of the team! It certainly sounds like you are well-read. I have deep respect for someone who has taken the time and effort to educate themselves. Kudos to you.
Hi Aquarian1,
Thank you for your response. Apparently, I cannot respond to your PM until I have 5 posts. Would love to talk to you via Skype if you have a chance. My Skype name is russell1321.
I've added you to the Skype address book and I'm online now
You can always email me with a good time for you to chat
or post a msg on my visitor page with a time
or post a msg in my journal -- now pretty much dormant.
or post five consecutive posts
How on earth can I enter all S&P500 stocks into the market scanner? I can do each one mannually but I see no way to enter them all at the same time. I have IQFeed. This is really frustrating just trying to do this one simple thing. Grrrr!
However it says I'm offline - but I'm not (perhaps my older version of skype causes this? - who knows.)
thanks Mike for this forum. You do a great job!
I was ask to introduce myself. I'm from Czech Republic and I currently live in Chicago.I work full time as a mason. I'm beginner in trading. I've been trading over 3 years but just simulation. I had tried couple live trades than I found out that I'm not ready yet,I was too emotional. So I'm back to simulation. I trade Woodies system, patterns (ZLR,FF,Famir), use Ninja Trader platform. My instruments are CL,6E, TF.
I have also read couple books to educated myself as Mark Douglas, Brett Steenbarger, Alexander Elder and more. Look forward to share more information with you.
Thank you for starting and managing what looks like a great community for traders.
I have been trading for a couple of years now,...still climbing the mountain, trudging through the clouds of data, competing techniques, trading methods, indicators, etc... searching for a consistently profitable approach that's right for me.
Most recently, I've been focusing on Market Profile. Auction market principles make sense to me. Application seems to be where the rubber meets the road. I've read Mind Over Markets, taken Tom Alexander's intro webinar, and am currently reading his book, which purports to have more trading set-ups than MOM. I'm also looking into a 1 week trial of Reza's ProfileTraders trading room.
In any case, thanks again for hosting a great trading forum.
Whoa, George. This is an incredible piece. I liked the way you wrote it and shared what you went through. It sounds a lot like my story with different details. I'm at the end of level #3. I would hope to be flirting with #4, and some days I think I'm there and then, I say NOT! I'm on a 10,000 self directed program and I'm at 8,700 hours. I'm now working on learning Market Profile. I just looked at the Ninja ladder video on Big Mike's. But, at this stage, I'm still sim trading because I haven't found my way. I have faith that I am getting there, slow as it may seem to me. But, I'm persistent and I'll keep on keeping on until I find the confidence of having arrived at my own workable system.
pipmeister here too
am in my third trading year and my search for better volume data brought me to ninjatrader and the search for better ninjatrader indicators brought me here
