It seems to work better on a daily chart, I removed it from my 5min charts. I bet it works better on stocks too, for the same reason I mentioned above about the Euro futures being a derivative market.
Yeah , maybe . There was a small community starting to grow there but it seems like it fizzled out . I found some links through the blog and was looking at some VPA forums , dont recall the name but I search around all the time when Im bored or waiting for something to happen .
Barry says on his website that the Better Momentum Indicator is like the "classic" Momentum indicator except that it is based on buying and selling volume instead of price, in other words it follows the Cumulative Delta.
This can be done in NT7 by applying the built in Momentum Indicator to the GOMCD, or you can write your own indicator (see sample code in the GOMCDSMA) to use the deltavalue dataseries from GOMCD as inputs to the NT Momentum Indicator.
ever seen a real vol spike? don't know what happened. only thing I know is, about 200,000 contracts were traded in less than 10 sec. and it was on the ask side. maybe someone with a fat finger? lol.
